Hi guys! Here is a video I made from footage taken during various Protests in Britain this year.

For the English here: How well does this represent the current Britain?

For the 'Foreigners": does this alter your perception of the United Kingdom?

Do any of you have any interesting stories to tell about a protest/riot you have been to?
Also, are there any improvements I could make to the video? Thanks!

Barry Purse!

I've never seen protesters of any stripe as representative of the people of any nation as a whole. Thus, no real effect either way. Seeing vids of them just makes me wonder if the ones who are "Professional Anarchists" (q.v. a certain number of the Wall Street protesters) get paid as well for doing this sort of thing over across the pond as they do here in the U.S.

So it let me vote twice. So I did. RUBBISH: WHERE ARE THE TOP HATS?
Erhem.
I'm British myself, but I have never witnessed protesting change anything in this country... Pretty much ever. That might be due to my lack of interest in current affairs, though. Please correct me if you can think of times when such a thing occured.

I hear of a lot fo protests, but they never seem to do anything.

Recently we had the third protest I can remember in recent years about pension cuts for people who are paid by government. WHY DOESN'T THE GOVERNMENT LEARN FROM THE PREVIOUS TIMES???!!

As... someone... said: 'history repeats itself because no-one was listening the first time.'

... or second... or third for that matter, it seems... *slow applause for Tony Blair*

OT: Protesting in the UK is the same as anywhere else... except it's more sedate. You'll often see borderline genial placards and when it gets violent... yeah, neither our protesters or our cops have anything on even Europeans...

I did like that the Archbishop of Canterbury weighed in on the whole thing... On the side of the protesters.

I think Britain just has civil disorder fatigue at the moment. What with the student protests, seemingly interminable industrial action, the August riots and the intermittent bouts between Wahhabist Cunts & Fascist Cunts I could quite happily not see another bunch of dickheads with badly spelled, poorly punctuated and grammatically incorrect placards for some time.

To say nothing of the logical inconsistencies of some placards. Like the ones criticising freedom of speech.
