The term brony never really bothered me (Pegasister sounds lame but meh) Don't know where hoof sister came from (Is it supposed to be like blood sisters or something?)

Also, this is a forum, I just said (or typed, dammit Idk) why they called themselves that, If I "offended" you that much, sorry, I wasn't trying to pick a fight or "troll" as you accused me of.

Meh, it came off the top of my head, but then I researched it and left hoofsister in.

IRL, theres one I actually know, and in total I've met a good 30-40+.

On the Escapists here, I know many, many people who are Bronies, comes with the chat and gaining fame there.

I know a handful of people besides myself. Only one of them knows I like the show, and it's only in a roundabout way of us sharing links. I don't usually talk about it publicly as there is no reason to do so. So, there might be a lot more people than I'm aware of.

I am sorry? I do not understand what you are getting at. Those who "Fap" or "Clop" to Ponies are considered Furries and that is what Furries do, am I wrong in assuming this?

What you say can be true, but your previous statement can be misinterpreted as generalising all furries as masturbating to ponies or antropomorphic animals; which, though most of them do, some are vehemently against.
My statement was a reply using the same logic that those who do the most deviant things in a group set the norm for outside perception.

Love it or hate it, you have to admit it blew up in a demographic that I'm sure the producers are surprised at. Lots of folks have made a pretty penny behind this fandom as well, one going so far as to have his fanfiction published physically, if I remember right. As far as clopping goes, better to get off that easy one to pixels as opposed to gettiong off that easy one in.. well, you know where I'm going with that. Beside, medically speaking, that's kinda astounding.

Essentially, the people that make money off of this sort of thing have learned how to appeal to closet furries without actually insinuating that they're furries, thereby avoiding the negative stigma associated with that particular subculture.

Unfortunately, the avenue they're using to appeal to these generally twentysomething guys is through a cheery little cartoon aimed at little girls, which has all sorts of unpleasant connotations of its own.

Howso? There are plenty of perfectly normal guys I know of (including myself) that enjoy the show. Whether one is 10, 20 (as in my case), boy, girl, or Batman. If you enjoy the show and get into the fandom, I don't see the problem. Life's too short to worry about others.
