In the biblical sense of the word. At least once.trophykiller said:Oh, I know tons of bronies. Wait, you meant on the Escapist website? Well, what defines "knowing" someone?
Wait, so to "know" what you mean I have to... No thanks.Shadowstar38 said:In the biblical sense of the word. At least once.trophykiller said:Oh, I know tons of bronies. Wait, you meant on the Escapist website? Well, what defines "knowing" someone?

The difference is that the pony fascination tends to be highly aggressive in its method of portrayment.Lugbzurg said:"Hoofsisters"? Where did that name come from? And why does this thread keep getting made? It makes about as much sense as the "How many bronies watch Zero Punctuation?" thread that came up a while back.
On the other hand, why are there still people who say not to post anything pony-related at all? The Escapist is kinda big on ponies. If you see a pony thread and don't like ponies... don't click on it. Not all the threads are there to please you. I think a lot of us also got really fed up with all the threads about Mass Effect 3's ending. And now, we've got this whole "Suicide Girl" thing that has gone way too far in the wrong direction.
Captcha: "Which new series will premiere on cinemax this fall?" How the heck am I supposed to know? How about My Little Pony? And why couldn't you capitalize "Cinemax"?
Are you seriously complaining about Bronies creating threads? Threads you can avoid?PizzaSHARK said:Wherever bronies go, you are going to see threads about how great it is to be a brony, which pony is the most pony-est, and on and on and on.
People have been saying the "fad" will pass for two years now. Apparently saying it's a "fad" hasn't really had any actual effect on the people who enjoy the show. Imagine that.NearLifeExperience said:Exactly 0, and I'd like to keep it that way.
I'll just wait quietly until this fad passes and geeks stop clogging up the internet with their fan 'art'
True, it's a rather persistent fad. Some trends just take a little longer to die.shrekfan246 said:People have been saying the "fad" will pass for two years now. Apparently saying it's a "fad" hasn't really had any actual effect on the people who enjoy the show. Imagine that.
And there will always be creepy fanart. Of everything. Because the internet is a breeding ground for creepy fanart. MLP isn't the first, and it certainly won't be the last. Just go to Google Image Search and type in your name plus "the Hedgehog".
With all do respect, this mentality reminds me of people who spend more time hating on Justin Beiber then enjoying their own music.NearLifeExperience said:True, it's a rather persistent fad. I'm a very patient person, though. And no, saying it's a fad won't have any effect on the people who actually enjoy the show, because they usually aren't very active on the internet (Y'know, being 8 years old and all).
I know there will always be creepy fan 'art' of something, but most of the time it's coneviently tucked away in the corners of the internet, never seeing the light of day, unless one looks for it. It's only when it starts to clog up every imageboard and meme related sites that one might say it has gotten a little out of hand.
