You're just being picky, now, aren't you?
Picky as in having above average expectations? Yes. Picky as in discarding stuff because of minor issues? Nope.

Example regarding opera: I cannot read parts of the UI!!! with my OS-colorscheme. Bright text on bright background just isn't very efficient.

Regarding k-meleon: The bookmarks-sidebar is the most frequently UI-element that i use when browsing. And it being incompatible with my keyboard layout means, that if for example i want to enter an umlaut somewhere, it instead erases the textcontents of the inputfield!

I use FireFox.

I tried to go to Chrome, and it was indeed a whole lot faster, but it was just too stripped down for my taste.
Agreed. I can't be on the Net without my video downloader and converter on Firefox, as well as all the other add-ons, as well as the window skins.

Chrome here.

I don't need extensions - only got a tab manager and another one that disables flash - so I go for the faster one :).

If ya wanna switch browsers, you might want to consider waiting until Firefox 4 gets out, since it gets all sorts of hardware acceleration.

Hope this helped.

I like Firefox, it doesn't seem to have that memory leak problem anymore.

[sub]Besides, I can't switch to Chrome or Opera anymore, I have too many extensions running already. Om nom nom adblock plus.[/sub]

Sorry. But how about xkcd?

Also, Firefox. I like the variety of plugins plus the mascot by far the cutest one.

I'd like to use Chrome. But Google catalogues all your info, so I don't even want to imagine if they tracked everything through the browser.

So Firefox.

I was always a Firefox fan until I finally broke down and tried Chrome. I haven't gone back since.

I used Internet Explorer for ages, and then for a while on my old PC switched to Google Chrome.
I now just use Internet Explorer because I got it with my new PC (obviously) and I can't be bothered to download anything else, and I don't care really because Internet Explorer shows me Internet pages, and that's all I want it to do.

I've tested Chrome out on my main rig, but didn't switch from Firefox because my computer is fast enough that the difference between the two was negligible or nigh non-existent. Plus, I love NoScript (at the time of deciding between the two browsers Chrome did not have a NoScript equivalent, maybe it does now, I wouldn't know).

I DO use Chrome on my slower-than-Pangaea netbook, because Chrome is MUCH faster on slow machines than other browsers.

I used to use Opera, but some websites I regularly visited at the time did not cooperate with Opera, so I stopped using it.

Give Chrome a NoScript addon and I'll give it a go, but until then I'm happy with Firefox 4 beta.

On the recommendation of the fine and upstanding escapist community, I have just downloaded Google Chrome (usually I use Safari & Firefox).

Any tips / tricks for a chrome noob?

I'm currently using chrome, but it has it's limitations. I'm not 100% satisfied with any browser. I used to be a firefox man, but it kept hogging a lot of memory. Should probably see what their current version looks like.

I prefer Chrome. I don't need the many apps that Firefox has, and Chrome is indeed faster.

I use Firefox as a back-up browser though. It's a solid browser, I just like Chrome more.

Chrome, because it's a web browser that focuses on only one thing and that's browsing the web. I mean what else do you REALLY need
