probably not. I despise anything Jack Black has ever done (except his 2 minute cameo in Anchorman) there's no way I can play a game based on on that very same type casted character.

He's a hyper, fat, rocker.... We get it.

All he is doing is voice acting the main character, with lines written by staff of Double Fine. Nothing more, nothing less. If you actually won't buy this game and/or bash it without playing it because of who is voicing the main character, you are no better than the sonic the hedgehog fanboys. And Spax3 has proved through his bullshit, that you can't get any lower than that.

I'm not buying it because of the voice actor, I'm not buying because of the unlikable character that follows the actor. I know exactly what kind of heavy metal, terrible story that will surely follow.

Besides, this is all my opinion. If you disagree that's fine. You don't needlessly compare and insult me to something else that far worse.

I'd love to get Brutal Legend, looks like a awesome concept that has been executed pretty well. But until it gets a PC port I won't be able to get hold of it.

I couldn't possibly care less about a Tim Schafer game. His LucasArts games were good if you're into that sort of thing, while Psychonauts was a mediocre game that people glommed onto because of its writing and its "art", never mind that it just wasn't any fun to, y'know, actually play, which is why nobody bought it.

I'll be more interested in whatever EA decides is the first Sims 3 expansion, because you know they're planning something for cash-in-at-Christmas time.

Well all you did was complain about Jack Black in the first post. If you don't buy it because you don't like metal, don't think the story seems good, or justifiable stuff like that, then I can respect that. But your first post just seems ignorant. IMO, I like Jack Black as a Joker, and that's what he is, a guy who made a living acting like a moron with his brother. And isn't that what our real dream job is? Assing around and being payed amazingly well for it? Like Yahtzee is right now?

It doesn't look like my kind of game. I don't plan on buying it even if the price drops to $10. Also; I dislike Jack Black's voice and the idea of being in a Metal world with Ozzy in it. Though I love metal, this does not appeal to me.

Schafer has made games about Pirates, Dead Spirits, Psychics, Bikers, and they have ALL been excellent.
I have the utmost faith that this game will be great, I'll even invest in an Xbox for this.

Great with some fresh air between all the generic FPSs as well.

Also, for people that say it will suck because of Jack Black: You rate the game after ONE voice actor?

I enjoyed psychonauts alot, just downloaded secrets of monkey island on xboxlive and I'm also a metalhead and a fan of Jack Black ^^ So release day for me, pre-ordered.

I shall definitely be getting this... on my birthday, which just so happens to be Rocktober 16th. So yeah. Also: Tim Schafer needs the money. Psychonauts didn't do too well first and second years of release. Grim Fandango bombed commercially. This is just the kind of thing he needs. Plus: Heavy metal roadies voiced by real heavy metal legends. Awesome.
