Decided to make a follow-up survey due to the (surprising) response to my first poll. As the topic says: for those of us that just can't resist the urge to pop that poppable packing goodness, what is your preferred way to do the deed?

Explain why you do it (might require some introspective psychological analysis), and for bonus points: which kind of bubble wrap do you prefer to pop? The big fat kind or small firm kind? It's hard for me to decide...the big ones give a louder pop, but the small ones have more to pop...

Edit: Bah, meant to have "Stomping around like a pissed-off Hulk" as one of the poll options. Tried to edit it in but it doesn't seem to want to go.

Go down each line making sure ever bubble is properly popped (none of that popping into the neighbouring bubble nonsense). It's relaxing, it's satisfying, anything else is abject heresy.

If its a big enough sheet, I lay it on the ground and roll across it like a steamroller, grinning like an idiot as they pop under me. Sometimes I'll make heavy machinery noises to accompany it. If it's a small piece, I'll pop them individually, savoring each and every pop.

Meticulously pop each one, possibly two at once if I'm popping with both hands. I generally follow a row as well, to make sure I don't miss any.

Dude, you gotta pop 'em one by one. It's just how it's done. Savor the moment. Don't just throw it away in a flash of glory!

I pop them one at a time but in no discernible order. For being a pretty orderly guy, I find it odd that I'll pop bubble wrap completely randomly. I guess it might have to do with the fact that it's fun to hunt down the unpopped ones afterwards.

Pretty much this. I don't really have a pattern, except that I pop them one or two at a time.

I go for the twist. Having heaps pop all at once is hugely satisfying, and then you can search for the ones that didn't pop and pop them individually. But seriously, the twist method is like having a good stretch as you wake up in the morning.

Sometimes little individual pops. Other times I roll it up like a sausage and twist that fucker and make it pop.

That's one of my favorite parts of popping bubble wrap in a random order. It's fun because obviously you can go on a big streak, but after a while it becomes a hunt for which bubbles haven't been popped yet. I think that adds a whole new level of entertainment value to the activity.

Either the first (although randomly, not in order) or the last option depend on how much bubble wrap and my mood.
I guess I'm a girl of extremes lol

This is my method as well. A fun twist if you have cats - lay it on the floor and enjoy the looks of pleased confusion on their little faces when they walk on it!

One at a time, you've got to savor the experience.
Or, an odd little one I like to do if it's a large sheet is walk over it slowly heel to toe.
Very satisfying.
