Poll: Buying a game

I'm going to buy a game and its between diablo 2, torchlight and neverwinter nights. Mainly because i have yet to play any of those and i hear theyre all great. im getting them for the multiplayer experience but ill make an exception of the single player is good enough so which should i choose?(i mainly want to play a caster preferbly long range but that doesnt matter as much)

Id go for torchlight but Im biased since I have a grudge against blizz, titans quest is a good one too, tho Im not sure how big the multi player community is on it

Out of those three, Diablo 2 seems the most fun to me. I haven't played any of the above, but Diablo apparently has, like, seventy tons of loot and plenty of replay value.

diablo 2 for sure... like all rpg's it can get grindy, and you may develop rsi in your mouse clicking finger... but as stated its got huge loot and much replay... and the multi is a good time too

Neverwinter Nights 2. It was a great game in my experience. I'd list some specifics but it's been a while since I played it.

I literally couldn't play Diablo 2 because of the sheer amount of mouse control the game uses. I mean, after playing for an hour my hand was as sore as it has ever been before.

I'd go for Neverwinter Nights 2, diablo 2 was great sure but the community online is pretty terrible. I loved the NWN2 campaign and then you can play other peoples adventures or participate in their own persistent worlds.

It also depends whether you prefer hack 'n slashy stuff or more RPG oriented games.

I haven't played Titan Quest however.

Diablo 2 or Torchlight if you're looking for an Action RPG. Titan Quest is too monotonous, Neverwinter Nights 2 is more story-oriented and in a different category

IMO, Diablo 2. I thought NWN2 was a pile of rubbish except for the MoTB quests, and I've never played Titan Quest. If you're looking for a hack'n'slash, you might also want to try Sacred 1, it's pretty good. Second one is bleh though.

Don't get any of these.

NWN2 is a worse RPG than NWN1, with slightly updated (and very outdated) gfx and horrible performance on any machine.
It won't satisfy your multiplayer criterium either.

Diablo2 and titan quest are just hack&slash treadmills. D2 has a bit more atmosphere and better sound and TQ has better gfx and more classes to experiment with.
Suggest Borderlands instead, unless you don't like FPS mechanics.

I suggest you buy Diablo II. Seriously, it's awesome. Check out some gameplay footage for it and you'll see what I mean. It's also great to play it with a few friends.
