I like to buy Cds. With Cds, you dont have to worry about mix ups or images losses when you put a song on your MP3 from your downloading location of choice. I also like how they are there, how if your computer is wiped you can just go back to your Cds and get it all back with ease, as well as being up to just pop a CD into your car and jamming down hte road. PLus the lyrics, or if you get a collection Cd the pictures and little things in them. Besides, most Cds come with little coupons that give you an chance for free stuff. I remmber I got a staind Cd and becuase of the paper in it, i got a really nice Staind Hoodie I still use. And in an Alice in Chains Cd, I got a good Alice in Chains shirt.

Just a bunch of stuff that i get through those little coupons makes them worth while. That, and i guess that face i dont have an ipod, i have a philips aria.

As for the Vinyls and the Cassettes... well... they're nice things to have to look back on. If you have a way to play them, its cool to get them and listen to them. PLus their usually cheap at auctions or yard says. I remember i went to one with my grandfather and becuase no one was buying them, i put a three dollar bid in and got a nice size moving cardboard box full of cassettes and vinyls. Plus the box came with a bunch of old baseball cards and stuff, so, you know. Nice rewards for little payout.

Well I usually torrent, so download, but even when I'm feeling righteous I tend to download from Amazon, because it's cheaper and more convenient.

Usually I download them off a questionable mp3 site, sometimes I buy a CD.
When Crossfade's new album comes out, if the CD doesn't come to New Zealand, I will kill someone.

Buying CDs at concerts. That way the band themselves gets most of the money. This is very important when listening to non-mainstream music.

I have no where to go and buy CDs from, unless I want to go into the city (as in New York City) and find a store, but where I am no where sells them. So I download.

CD's. Mostly because I can then play them in any car or stereo without fiddling around with Nero.

And because I don't tend to hang around with magnets, they tend not to die either (unlike computers which are notoriously fickle things).

I'd buy CD's as I like displaying things like. I proudly put all my games and books up my shelves, and I'd do the same with CD's or vinyl's.

But I'd rip my CD's to my computer as well, I like making easy-access playlists to listen to while gaming.

I usually prefer to buy CDs. Aside from a very few reputable places like Steam, when it comes to digital media like films/games/music, I never trust downloads. I don't like filling my laptop memory with too much stuff, and possibly losing it all if my laptop goes wonky (like the recent scare I had when it stopped switching on after the latest Vista update - first problems I've ever had with Vista...). I only trust hard, physical copies of things. At least then if something goes wrong I don't lose everything, and I can always sell stuff on, or return faulty stuff if necessary...

I'd prefer to have physical CDs, but sometimes those are impossible to find, and I don't feel like shipping them unless I have an amazon gift card or something.

well if I'm actually buying it, then I'm definently getting a cd. I know when I get a new computer that I'll not move my data.

I love wandering around a music store looking for something random. I generally rip all my CDs to mp3, but I like to actually own something solid.

I tend to buy CDs from the smaller, less successful bands that I listen to, just cause pirating affects them the hardest, but for my more mainstream musical tastes I end up pirating.
