FFX is a good one to start with (FFVI is good as well). Once they can handle those , then move on to VII, XIII, VIII, etc.
Final Fantasy X is one of my favorites - that and Final Fantasy VII. I was kinda "meh" on Final Fantasy 8, it had a steep learning curve and I just hated the junction system with those damn GF - although I loved the feel of being a mercenary with a paying wage (that was it). So Final Fanatsy VII wasnt all that fun. As for Final Fantasy 12 - the newest before 13 - its very fun if a little, well, staid but I would definitely recomend that as well because it was such a beautiful game.Proteus214 said:FFX is a good one to start with (FFVI is good as well). She's played 7,8,and 10twaddle said:first of all we need to know what final fantasy games your friend has played and has so we can cross them off the list. from what is left we can use deductive reasoning to deduce the coorect final fantasy game for your friend. for example there are final fantasy's that have rts like final fantasy tactics the original or the remake war of lions
Let's see...There are not many updated versions of the final fantasy games except for the ones on the on snes. final fantasy X-2 is highly underated, but because of somuch flame from people in the past i would have to eliminate it despite the great battle system. If she had a psp i would recomend the updated final fantasy 6 beause of the fantastic new content and cut scenes. I would have to recomend you go with final fantasy 9 for one. This game will open her up to the older 8 bit games, seing how it itself is a homage to the previous 8bit games with updated graphics and a fluent story for the most part. If you purchase it try not to get it used as the game is notorius for having extremely worn down 1st disk. i would also recomend final fantasy 4 on the ds for the fantastic graphics. the story is done quiet well and the battles are typical final fantasy. My number 1 pic is 4 and number 2 pic is final fantasy 9daxterx2005 said:She's played 7,8,and 10twaddle said:first of all we need to know what final fantasy games your friend has played and has so we can cross them off the list. from what is left we can use deductive reasoning to deduce the coorect final fantasy game for your friend. for example there are final fantasy's that have rts like final fantasy tactics the original or the remake war of lions
Shes said she wants to play them all one day (Don't know if that includes tatics/adventure/final fantasy 7 spinoffs/chocobo games)
I was mainly looking for like a list of the most updated version of each game with the most content/ personal opinions on which version is better.
Its just good to know how many versions of each game there are and which is fandoms favorite etc.
Only a few people seem to be actually reading my first post.
It seems everyone else is just coming in, and saying their favorite game.
The GBA remakes are the most important?Altorin said:If you can get 5 or 6 for the GBA (DS Lite will run it), those are basically the most valuable final fantasy games to any collector.
However, if she's only a recent fan, you'd probably be better off getting her some sort of memorabilia, like an "action figure" from Advent Children.
Because either she has all the games she needs from the series, or you'll end up getting her one from an era she doesn't like.
