Honest answers here people. Not wanting to start a flame war, just wanting to know how people here feel about these games.

Personally, I had never played a battlefield game before friday when i got battlefield 3. It's a great game and it's well worth a play. I also like Call of duty games, so i don't really see which is better myself.

I haven't played battlefield 3 yet, but I greatly preferred BF:BC2 over COD:MW2 or COD: BlOps

The destructible environments and the large scale of the levels, and the vehicles won me over.

I've been a Call of Duty fan since the series started, but I voted Battlefield 3 because of how boring the multiplayer has become in the Call of Duty series. I've been playing the multiplayer of Battlefield 3 for about a week now and I'm enjoying it a lot. The vehicles are fun, the maps are expansive and well detailed, the game modes are fun, and the community (or at least the people I've played with) are genuinely nice people who don't talk shit. Also as a bonus I have yet to encounter a squeaker who curses like a sailor.

These poll results are awesome.
I voted Battlefield, btw.
Also, I'm going to assume this thread will be locked. These things always end in flame wars. >.>

I'll be playing both once they go on a decent sale. Chances are I'll enjoy BF3 more, but I won't limit myself by being ignorant.

I've only ever played: MW2 and Black Ops
MW2 was filled with Noobtubes, Quickscopes, Commando and everybody complained.
Black Ops fixed all of those things and was an amazing game.. however everybody complained.

MW3 looks exactly like MW2 i mean... it really does.

I have never played Battlefield (except 3 Beta), at least it looks like it has changed and tried somewhat harder than the MW series.

For this reason i voted BF.
I wont be buying either this year however as they both look terrible.

Battlefield 3 is seriously disappointing on PS3. Crap graphics, a huge amount of glitches and generally odd things occuring, problems with inviting people into online games, a generic as all hell single player and probably alot more stuff I've yet to witness.

Although I'm not advocating MW3, I care for neither game. It's just Battlefield 3 (console version) is a game that needs alot more work done to it, the PC version seems to be a million times better mind.

Neither, both are shit.

With Call of Duty, the only one I ever enjoyed was 4 and I wasn't interested in the slightest about MW2 and upwards, not because they're popular, but simply because I wasn't interested in them and MW3 still won't make me change my mind.

With Battlefield, the only one I ever played was 2, wich is the very definition of a bipolar dissorder, I mean, the game can be truly immersive and the battles can be as hectic as hell, but sadly, 90% of the time you'll spend playing the game, you'll be runover by trucks, tanks and helicopters (yes, that actually happened to me, long story). Don't get me started when the other team starts to spawn camp with artillery.

Battlefield 3 looks good, but I'm still not interested in returning to the franchise ever again.

Eh, really not sure of either. In terms of the single player Call of Duty's (or at least the Modern Warfares) were so much better than Bad Company 2's. It must be the only fps where I got too bored with the campaign to complete.

In terms of multiplayer, I prefer Modern Warfare's when I'm playing solo and Battlefield's when playing with friends. Played the beta of the BF3 multiplayer and was generally disappointed. Showed off no vehicles, no clear destruction and the window of reaction when a player sees you seems tiny due to the health. Oh, and the very first game I entered had some idiot constantly shouting about how bad his team was and moaning about Call of Duty (i wasn't surprised). Whereas Modern Warfare 2 lost most of it's appeal to me eventually, and the servers became rather suspicious for modded lobbies. The feeling of being frustrated about just missing a killstreak even though you played good is also a put-off.

Saying all that, I prefer Shadowrun, Gears of War and Halo to these two modern shooters.

Im just going to try to give a breakdown to why im getting both games (and the cons to)

BF3 -
A much bigger environment shooter, and is much more reality based. Intense firefights across streets and the stuff. The vehicles add a dynamic to the game, and make it fun once you master them. The con is the players really. Ive been playing ALOT, and most of the time on Rush, there will be just 7 people camped in a room with health and ammo everywhere, or conquest, where 1/2 people will be snipers. People ruin that multiplayer. Oh, and the ones who wait for the aerial vehicles, and nose dive them.

MW3-
Much more arcade based and fast paced. Looking forward to all of the innovation its going to bring to the COD series (Yes, there will be some type). The game is always moving and has changing dynamics. The story of the campaign should be a great way to end the MW series also. Pretty much, its an overall great game, but with a less reality based game and some people still making it bad with excessive Grenade launchers and the stuff.

My verdict? I couldnt decide, so im going with both of em. MW3 will be the last COD game I probably buy though.

Can I get a option for "neither, I dislike both"?

If I had to choose I would say CoD because I like its singleplayer more and you don't spend half the time in multiplaer running to where the battle is.

I've had good experiences with Bad Company 2, more so than Call of Duty games(Except co op in World at War). I dunno though, I mean, when it comes to war shooters, its all the same. You have guns, you point them at things, and they die. What more do you want?

For me, that is a REALLY TOUGH question. On one side, I greatly prefer Battlefield's multiplayer over CoDs, but I still like CoD multiplayer too. On the other side, I adore the way CoD games make their campaigns (with exceptions like MW2 and Battlefield Bad Company being really good at single player) compared to the awful BBC2 singleplayer. So I choose both. They're both great games, and I can't just choose one.

why is there no "Neither, both are shit" option?I still would have voted battlefield, but it's a bit unjustified, don't you think?
