Treyarch listens to the community after the game is out, which is good for a franchise that has become built around multiplayer.

That's why they added my zombies maps to WaW, and each of them got progressively better.

Infinity Ward just drops the game. Releases one patch, one or two map packs of shitty quality, and leaves players with the mess that the first patch didn't fix.

world at war (to an extent, mostly just the russian missions)
modern warfare port (shut the hell up right now, it was a good port, nothing more, and nothing less)

and considering nobody ever gives a crap about treyarch, they never get hyped or overrated (until blops, but thats debatable) so id say that treyarch has the upper hand here, they proved the smug asses at IW wrong, three freaking times, and black ops kicks the shit outta modern warfare 2 any day.

plus, zombie mode is classic, and IW fanboys are just mad the world's most popular apocalypse scenario didnt show its face in an IW game.

First of all, a port is just a port, it's not an original title, so I wouldn't use it as a comparison.

Modern Warfare 1 was nothing short of epic, it was absolutely stunning, and the aftermath of the Nuclear Bomb will go down in my top 5 moments of all time in videogaming.

World at War was pretty awful, that time period has been so overused I could puke, at least COD4 was original.

Yes, zombie mode is a neat diversion, for a few hours, but I'd hardly say Treyarch is a better developer because of it, it seems like they should just make a zombie game instead of continuing to tack it onto war based FPS's

Infinity Ward was until MW2. All the previous games they did actually improved the series, but MW2 was a total milking of the franchise and just not a good game.

Think about it for a second, Modern Warfare 2 came up from SCRATCH by Infinity Ward (It was based off of MW1 obviously, but since that was also made by Infinity Ward, they still built it up from scratch)

Then Black Ops came along with MW2 already made for them. Think about how different Black Ops is from MW2, compared to how different MW2 is from NOTHING.

I have the PS3 version. It started out ok but a month or so after it's release, I was losing connection, getting kicked out of lobbys, lobbys closing, ALOT of host switching going on and I thought it was me.

I love the second chance guys, I am yet to die from one. I even have a game saved were I snook up on two guys, filled them lead, ducked down, reloaded, popped back up and finished them off. Then again my main target seems to be the crotch, so I get alot of executions.

The knife is some what of a commando lunge that I have been a victim of but I still die by gun fire 95% of the time, 2/3% is nades.

Been on bored with CoD since the start, so I am with IW on this one. Some of the best times I had on CAL and TWL was in Vanilla CoD and CoD:UO

Isn't any good/decent sequel just polishing the last? The only thing thats makes this different is two devs are involved in one series.

What did you want them to do? Make a bad game? From what you have said there is no way for them to win, they made a good game (better than MW2 anyway) and you accuse them of just releasing a big patch as a game. If they had made a bad game they would be accused of not learning from IW and being shit/bad at there job/whatever.

They are paid to make a game, they will do it to the best of there ability. Instead of comparing black ops to MW2, think of it like a stand alone game.

The SP are worlds apart. MW2 has this spagehti like story, it is almost imposable to follow. We jump from person to person, destination to destination, I still have no clue what the story was (other than the obvious "Russia invades America 'cos an American helped kill a boat load of people").

Black ops had a good story, (you might have seen it coming but I doubt it, I think some people just like to hate on treyarch/COD/whatever) I was able to follow it, it had a nice surprise and it was interesting.

The only thing I found outragous was Mason at the very start, this guy is a black ops guy (which means if he gets caught his government deny knowing him, which means no help) but he gets caught and questioned by an unknown person and after ignoring one question, he breaks down and tells them everything.

Just my thoughts anyway.
