Ohai!
SO, my phone contract is coming to an end; time to get a new one.

Now, I want to get a Blackberry. That much is sorted...but I haz dilemma.

Basically, my choices are the 8520 or the 9300.
The catch is...the 9300 will set me back an extra £50. Hrr.

So I was just wondering...do any of you guys know if it's worth that extra £50? And if so...why?

Cheers lads+ lasses.

And just to add a bit extra; What's your favourite phone that you've ever owned?
Mine was mi'olde Lg Shine. Maaaan I miss that bubba!

I highly recommend not getting a Blackberry. I have owned 3 and after using an HTC Arrive and any decent android phone I'll never get another blackberry. I currently have the 8530 and I'm counting down the days till my contract runs out. The specs on the blackberry are terrible and even basic tasks like surfing websites like the escapist will cause the BB to freeze up for a few seconds whenever you scroll around while it processes and God help you if you are running anything else in the background. Also the screen size is a laughable 320x240. About the only thing it has going for it is the BB messenger and that's only useful if your friends have BB's. Also there is a sever lack of decent apps for the blackberry as it's limited by its specs and lack of a touch screen.

I have the 9300 as my work phone and the 8530 for my personal phone and I can say there is no noticeable difference between using the 2. The OS is the same the specs are near identical the only thing different that i've found was the fact that you can tether the 9300.

To sum up: Stay away from BB as WP7, iOS, and Android powered phones do everything the BB can do, but they do much more and do it faster, but if you're set on the BB get the 8500 series as there is no noticeable user experience from the 9300

They used to have the keyboard going for them, but the Motorola Droid Pro sorta put an end to that monopoly on good keyboards.

Aren't these both in the Curve line? They're the exact same phones except one has 3G and Wifi. Get the one with 3G and Wifi if you like mobile browsing. Decision over.

9700 isn't on that list, hasn't given me any issues, maybe I'm of the lucky few, as to whether I love it or not, I do, wouldn't replace it for any other phone, mainly because I'm not a fan of touch screens.
