Poll: Can a "PERFECT" game ever be created?

Simply put, "perfect" is impossible. In fact, I'm kind of surprised the word exists at all. Something that's perfect is described essentially as something without flaws, inconsistencies, etc. If life were perfect, we wouldn't always be struggling to make money, find jobs, prevent people from electing (much less voting) idiot plotiticians, etc.

The "perfect game" will just be different for every single person on Earth. So it will no longer one game, but rather your "perfect" game, tailor made to suit your game-play style,favorite genre, etc., etc. So I guess, no is the real answer. One game could never be "perfect."

A game can never be "perfect," as it requires the same positive opinion of everyone.

That's why 9 or slightly above is the best you can possibly get.

Also, there's a thread just like this, I think it's called "No game deserves 10/10" or something.

There can never be an absolutely perfect game. There is no such thing as perfection, it is physically impossible. What one person may view as perfect will not be what another person thinks is perfect, therefore the game isn't perfect. This is a stupid poll.

There can't be a perfect game in your sense, meaning that a game would have to appeal everyone to make it perfect.

HOWEVER, what's stopping a game from being "perfect" in their own specific genere? Why does a "perfect" game need to appeal to everyone, can't there be a "perfect" FPS? There could be possibly, but if you go overboard with "perfect" meaning "with absolutely no flaws" then there will never be a perfect FPS game.

However, that's not stopping some people from expressing their opinion about how this or that game is perfect in almost every way. What would be the point of putting a 10 on a 0-10 scale if 10 can never be achieved? If you take off the 10, the 9 would be perfect but you'd get the exat same response from everyone.

There is such a thing as a "perfect" game in someones opinion but even the games that those people love they can find fault in it but they still consider it perfect because they love the game. Is it fair to take away points because the fps dropped below 30 for 2 seconds and so then the person reviewing it would be all "OH! The fps dropped! That's an unavoidable flaw that everyone should know about! 9.9/10!!"

There can not be one universal "perfect" game but there can be a "perfect" game in someone's opinion.

ALSOOO!!! I personally think that 10/10 or any other perfect scoring just shows that it is the pinical of that certain genere. Would a 10/10 for CoD4 automatically make it the greatest puzzle game in existance? Of course not, because it's not trying to be a puzzle game. If a game gets a 10/10, then another game will have to be better than the previous game to get said 10/10.

That's my 2 sheckles anyway.

Nothing can ever be perfect because it is a subjective term, and thus open to dispute.
