i can actually ride a bike but I never did the cycling profinciency thing here. I learnt to ride a bike when I was about 14 (my mum didn't want me to have a bike, they were too dangerous apparently so I got roller blades instead - go figure)
My mate dan taught me, I crashed into a parked car on my first go and bent his handlebars.

I used to be able to ride a bike but I forgot.
I can't believe it took to page 4 for someone to say this!
(Also, I was going to. Damn you.)

I can, it's a useful way of travel on the holidays if I'm too cheap to pay for public transport.

No I carnt ride a bike, to be fair I never really tryed, I live in Barnsley and very close to the town so ive never really needed to learn as every think I need is only a small walk away, I could ride one for fun but that would mean forking out money for some think I probably will only use every now and again.

I learned to ride a bicycle when I was three years old. Turns out you learn a lot faster when you don't use training wheels, they just teach bad habits. Particularly not leaning into the turn.

But now I ride my bicycle to classes and my motorcycle to places that are too far to go by bicycle.

Out of curiosity, which is easier to learn to ride? A motorcycle or a bicycle?

Tough choice. I'd go with bicycle. When you learn to ride a bicycle, you have to develop the core muscles that you need to balance, as well as gain an understanding of how speed and steering keep you upright and stable. Bicycles are also generally a lot more top heavy, and obviously WAY lighter, so they're already inherently less stable than motorcycles. When you learn to ride a motorcycle, assuming you already know how to ride a bicycle, you just have to take those concepts that you already know and add the concepts of how the bike works, shifting gears, clutch, brake, throttle, etc.

So really I guess the hardest one is whichever one you learn first.

had a bad experiance

i was moving along nicely learning to ride my bike, peadiling and such, but then my dad thought i would learn faster if he pushe me down the hill, he did.
i rocketed down the hill and hit a tree,... at top speed,... on a pink bike.
That's not that bad when I was learning the fount wheel of my bike fell off. The fount of my bike wedged itself into the field I was learning on, I slammed forward and canned on my bike. Right out of a cartoon. I couldn't go near a bike for a month after that.

Not only can I ride my bike. I can ride my bike with no handlebars. No handlebars.

Ah, I'm guessing that's been done about 143 times in this thread, so I thought I'd make it 144 times.

I do every day. It is my favorite method of transport to class.
I wish I could use my bike as a method of transportation. From where I live it would take hours to get to anywhere significant.

Yea, I've been riding bikes since I was little.

I also ride dirt-bikes, which beats a normal bikes any day.

I don't have a car so my bike is my only real method of transportation. Well, that and the bus but since the bus usually smells like pee I'll just take my bike instead.
