For years people have thought I was making things up as I would tell them that I can see things around people. These things I had later defined as "AURAS" or "QI". Apparently This is not overly common. I have learned to use this in many advantageous situations, for example I have a strangely accurate ability to find people in an area even if I cant see them. I simply feel if a person is there or not. If this feeling gets strong I can see a very slight color displacement around their person (or if it is dark, where their person should be). Can anyone else elaborate their feelings on this? Maybe someone else has this unique ability, do you care to share? What do you think?

See auras? No. Detect a presence? Yes. I can feel when people are behind me, or around me when its dark.

Like the RavingPenguin, I can feel people at night.

I've been forever against people who thought they could see aura's and read my fortune etc. after hitting up Australia's biggest "psychic" expo for every day it was open, and every single one of them got every single thing wrong.

I was deliberately dressing and acting differently, and it showed in the "results".

I would not call it a color just something around them that lets me know who they are. My eye's are fairly poor so I often really on that to tell when someone I know is coming. I also can sense people around at night. Here I thought I was crazy. =)

I'm sorry, but all this is in your head. You may just be exceptionally lucky, but you are NOT reading auras.

Corneal edema?

Also your peripherals are more light sensitive then your normal vision, so you may be seeing people at night with your peripherals.

Or maybe you're just an Otherkin (http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Otherkin) lololol.

And for anyone having similar opinions. I would not dismiss the possibility. While a clear study must be conducted, and there's no definitive evidence one way or another, more than the pessimism of some people, we have to take into consideration that humans can evolve. Maybe this aura stuff is one of the directions the human race will evolve towards. Maybe the future will hold different types of people. Who knows?

However, until a concrete study on our aura viewer is conducted, I hold myself towards pessimism. Simply because I don't believe much of the stuff people say on the internet.

I spent a great deal of time flirting with the paranormal, but at the end up, from a scientific point of view, its a load of rubbish.

There have been dozens of researches on people claiming to have such powers, and all came out negative. I think we can say the he hasn't got these powers until he can prove he has.

And the 'sensing' people at night? Easily explained by either hearing or smelling them. Your subconscious can do some pretty funny things.

i cringe every time i see people spew bullshit like this. it can well be that you feel something, but it isn't a damn aura just because of that. i'm sick of these people, these pseudo intellectuals with a "spiritual" side that belief that every passing wind is a touch divine.

i'm not saying i don't believe in things myself, but i at least have theories behind my beliefs, not just some magical term invented by the brown nosers of god before becoming popularized in the 70s eruption of "freedom".

it takes years of study, experiments and errors to show a new theory might be plausible. it takes a few of these kind people to ruin it again.

Well, I know there are genetic mutations which result in seeing numbers, smells or sounds as colours, so it's technically possible for it to be a deal of that nature.
However, they tend to go hand in hand with autism and the like, so not necessarily a sweet deal.

Anyway, I lean towards the "you're hallucinating" explanation.

You can't see auras. What i think you do is you subconsciously process subtle signs around people. Subtle to your consciousness but bleeding obvious to your subconscious. For eg. You know what a person is going to do next, or if this person is 'good' or 'bad' by 'reading' their actions. AKA the sherlock holmes method.

That being said, there is no proof that it can be done with humans.
I personally just happen to have good night vision and a sense of position. I don't really see auras, but i know that personal interactions can... change... things. Hard to explain.
Essentially, I just listen to my impulses on who is presenting attention in my direction, and what kind. Even out of adrenaline inducing situations, people who are being aggressive give me a different impulse than people who are just going to give in.
