Now here is a blanket statement when I say Capitalism I meen Capitalism not Feudalism.
That is one thing that bugs me about respones like "It's just a system that keeps the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor" or "Those who are born poor stay poor and if your born a rich man you stay rich" when we start talking classes like Poor and Rich that is when we go into feudalism.

Communism is a form of economy, but I will like private ownership more than anything else in the world.

It's okay, it need some regulation and some people can gain a huge wealth while others are left in the dust, but it's system that's worked.
I do believe it is a "This" moment.
At this moment no because of the demonization of capitalism. Its kinda like in fifties America when anyone said communism in a positive tone they had their teeth kicked in. Now it's like in fifties Russia were if you say Cpitalism in a positive tone you got Black Bagged by the KGB, but now you just get yelled at by the cool alternative crowd in between their brakes at starbucks.

It's wonderful though most college students would rage against it cause it "makes the rich richer and poor poorer". Or whatever their sociology professor told them.
Believe it or not, but that is an absurd stereotype that, while occasionally true, is laughable to most. Just about every college and university runs on its own ideology and not all of them are this bizarre pigeonhole you've cooked up here.

As though hating or loving capitalism are the only two options anyway. And as though only college students and professors disagree with capitalism.

Anywho, as for the capitalism vs. whatever else debate, just take a look around you. We're in a pretty solid recession thanks to capitalism unchained and as such, I support a mixed system. Capitalism can be OK, but when allowed to reach its logical extreme, it is very dangerous.

Like almost all extremes.

Just going by the sentiments of my school(s) :p.

Capitalism (unchained lol) didn't get us into the recession I mean we have one of the most regulated economies around. It was more of easy credit brought on by government pushing easy lending practices. Something that Frank is still pushing.(why you would push to lower lending standards when that's one thing that got us into trouble I have no idea).

Well, if humans would stop being greedy, than I think it'll be pretty good.

But then again, it'd be great if I could fly.

The title was self-explanatory. The point wasn't. Did anything prompt this? Any particular part of capitalism you find yourself expressing admiration for or wish to discuss?

If the point was self-explanatory, then the point has been missed by everyone in this thread. It's just a yes or no question, after all.
