Roll-downs. Had a 1995 Monte Carlo with power locks/windows before. They stopped working within about three years after we got the car (dad bought it brand new). Horn and tape deck followed. I hated going through the drive-thru in that car.

/loves his 2002 Sunfire with its roll-downs and manual locks

Cheap insurance and cheap gas mean we get bigger cars :3
And it'll do every bit over 100Mph comfortably.....no that I go that fast >.> of course not
Damn your cheap insurance! To insure me for a small KA is £1,500. ><'
And mine will do over 70 easily. Not a hundred but not bad. Not that I've tried, of course. >>
My insurance is like $60 a month :p
...Hell with England, I'm moving to America!
Have you got room for a handsome lodger who will scrounge like no tomorrow? XD

I prefer automatics because you don't have to struggle against the gears (which can dislodge when you apply too much torque) inside the car door and have to deal with sun-degraded plastic levers breaking off, leaving behind a sizzling metal stick for you to burn your hand/arm on in the summer.

My car doesn't exist, but I prefer the old school method, for the obvious reasons other people have already stated. Can I buy you a fish sandwich?

Having to turn the car back on just because you forgot to roll up the windows is the bane of my existence. Luckily my sister's '89 civic has roll downs.

My car has roll downs, its a pain in the ass during the summer and when I go to a drive thru window. And because I'm fucking lazy

EDIT: But I'd rather have them than automatics. Gotta start the car if you forget to close em, and they suck battery for no good reason. I'm lazy but I'd rather not have extra load on the batter, however small it is
I don't need to worry about this. When I lock my car all of the windows wind up. :D

Roll downs. My car is a 1996 Toyota Corolla. The only thing automatic about it is the transmission. Hell, even the locks are manual.

I had automatic windows. The motor is broken now and they are more manual if I want to get them up again.

Zipper windows?
That is an entirely new concept to me.

They stopped using them, I think. You can actually open them from the outside if you're smart about it, so I think that was the main reason they went to regular windows in the newer Jeeps.

Automatic, although sometimes I wish it had roll downs since the drivers side window doesn't open for some reason. Makes going to drive-thru windows kindah awkward.
