Most of the old cartoons were shit, most of the new cartoon are shit.

So, no. Things like Tom & Jerry and all those other cartoons which mainly weren't funny after you've seen one, because it was all the same -ooo anvil on the head! hur hur hur! And most today's cartoons are utter shit as well.

So... Same.
Um...what? Old cartoons were awesome! It just seem you don't have a good humor.

Anyways, another good cartoon show was Batman Beyond(or any other old batman cartoon that happen in the 90's-2000's. It brought one of the best animate batman movies
Batman Beyond and the return of the joker. Awesome movie there.

Good cartoons I'd watch nowadays - South Park, Fairly Odd Parents

The Simpsons is still watchable, but not as good as ten years ago
Family Guy was good and is now meh so I guess there are those two

Probably more good ones I haven't seen much of or can't remember

But as of yet I have failed to find things that equal the likes of Cow and Chicken or Ed Edd and Eddy in their weirdness, sadly

Umm, no, my sense of humour doesn't come from only slapstick comedy. I hate to look from high horse here, but overall, I'd prefer my comedy to mainly contain puns, sarcasm, and other forms of humour, with some slapstick added in.

And I'm not a big fan of superhero stuff because frankly, I disagree with most of the ideals portrayed in the comics and the movies/cartoons made about them.
You have to remember that those cartoons are meant for kids, not adults with a sophisticated sense of humor. Just because you don't like cartoons like Tom & Jerry now doesn't mean you wouldn't have liked them as a kid.

1.) Some of them actually do suck, and are little more than fronts to sell merchandising.

2.) Nostalgia is viewed with rose-tinted glasses, so people's opinions can be skewed when looking at older cartoons. In other words, there were cartoons back then just as bad as some cartoons now. Hanna-Barbera made a lot of cartoons when they were around, and while some were pretty good, I'm sure there were some that totally flopped. It's harder to see this because as a kid, you are much more easily satisfied than an adult. This is also why it's easier to see the bad in newer cartoons.

Nickelodeon used to have some great cartoons. I found Rugrats to be very clever. It was one of many decent cartoons. These days its only Spongebob. I enjoyed the movie, but the TV series isn't that great these days.

Nickelodeon used to have a slew of good or funny shows. Rocko's Modern Life, Aaah! Real Monsters, Ren and Stimpy, now all they have is Spongebob Squarepants.

Cartoon Network's no better. They used to run Looney Tunes, they had Samurai Jack, Ed, Edd n' Eddy, Dexter's Labratory, Megas XLR, they had a varitable arsenal of good cartoons. The second the Eds three went out the door, they fell into the abyss of suck. The only good cartoon I think I see on their network now is Johnny Test.

I prefered it when it was all hand drawn, but then again it's all personal choice and new stuff isn't terrible.

I don't think cartoons are any better or worse than they were when we all watched them religiously. I think it's more that we've all grown up and matured, so the corny cartoons we grew up loving no longer appeal to us as teenagers/adults.

Personally I still love cartoons, but I only catch the classics when they're on. And the first couple seasons of Pokemon. Shut up I liked that show.

Due to less kids watching TV and having more focus on videogames, I think TV just doesn't bother trying anymore since no kids are really watching more than 3 hours a day.
