Even in the 60's show, Catwoman has always worn her sexuality on her sleeve. She owns it and uses it for all it's worth. That's part of the core. It would be like taking away Batman's cape.

Sexy is her weapon. Batman may be slightly different in your eyes but he still throws Batarangs.

Also the Batman of 20 years ago--which would be the Tim Burton one (well, okay, a little more than 20 years, but close enough)--used stealth and fear tactics as well, so that change is not so recent.

Ok, so my estimate of the first bat film was off. But almost as much fun as that is Nicholas Cage's Adam West impression in Kick Ass, a film worth seeing just for that!
