Poll: Change your country branding

You have the opertunity to change your countries branding. Admittedly this does not lead to much you can change the flag and the anthum.

Would you change anything? and if so what would you do?

And possably to clarify when saying what you will change tell us where you are from just to know the country you are talking about.

Or if you got a fun idea for a different country go ahead tell us your master plans.

Whilst I'm tempted to change our anthem, I'd most likely leave the flag be. It's suitably generic to not particularly stand out on the world stage, just like Britain's national standing these days.

This is the anthem change, definitely.

Sure you can change the flag and the anthem, but the morons will still populate the land.

The US flag and anthem are fine. Pledge of Allegiance is a bit dodgy.

While i do love the Union Flag (only called jack when on a ship) and God save the Queen. But it would be awesome to have the Gurren Brigade version of the Union flag and the Imperial March as our national anthem.

The union flag's pretty cool, I wouldn't mind changing it though if someone thought of a nicer looking flag. I dunno, it feels boring. Like english wheather. Keep the England flag though.

Also keep god save the queen. It's dreary but nicely composed and in form, almost like a fantasy of what I wish more people in england were like.

When I spending 9 months in america though, in 6th grade, I personally didn't like the pledge, or the anthem.

The flag is cool though it looks so much nicer than our flag.

Have you seen Event Horizon? Check out the flag on Sam Neil's character's uniform. That is what the Australian Flag should be.

I would bet rid of the pledge, or at least make it so that children don't have to recite it in schools. Whole bunch of jingoistic nonsense if you ask me. I do like the other stuff though.

God save the queen could use a tune up, personally I'm a quite partial to the french anthems lyrics.
Particularly the bits about the roads running red with the blood of the aristocracy.
The American one has a good rhythm though.

Pledge of Allegiance could use a bit of work for reasons I hope are obvious. We're supposed to be a diverse country open to all faiths, but the "under god" thing implies differently. It doesn't bother me that much right now, but as a kid (when we were forced to say the pledge every morning before class) it really did.

Why would evoke a non specific deity to bail out these non elected spongers? To steal Bill Baileys line, I think the Anthem could use an update. I don't think any Anthem will top the old Soviet Anthem though, it has so much power and pride in it, regardless of the ideals behind it it's an incredibly moving piece of music.


Both flags we use, both the Union Flag and the Georges Cross should stay as they are, even if alot of the world doesn't recognise the English Flag.

Nah, I'm pretty happy with Canada actually. I know our flag isn't cool and our anthem isn't intimidating, but I'll be damned if they don't make me smile whenever I encounter em while abroad.
