Right, lately Channel 4 (UK based for those who aren't familiar) are slacking. Big Brother for one ... seriously, why is/was it still being shown? NOBODY CARES ABOUT NO LIFE SCUMBAGS IN A HOUSE!

Secondly, as of tonight, I can not take their word for anything. I waited up until midnight to see the premier of the new Muse video. Then some announcer guy comes on and is like "Sorry, no video for you!"

Disappointed, I am. (E4 on the other hand = FTW! Due to Scrubs)

What happened to all the good investigation shows they had? All the informational things? Now they just bum Big Bellender and Derren Brown-nose.

Anybody else got some thoughts on probably the worst channel out there?

But, yeah, C4 is getting crap. I prefer E4 as it has Scrubs and School of Comedy, which I just remember was on and have missed it...

Are you willing to pay even more for a TV license? Channel 4 has to produce programs from advertising revenues alone. That is rather limiting, especally in these economic times. Big brother is dirt cheap to make and brings in quite a few viewers. In other word it has a very good profit margin.

Black Books, Spaced, Peep Show, The IT Crowd (I NEVER thought I'd put that up there, but it's actually growing on me...), Green Wing, I think Jam and Brass Eye was 4 as well...

There's a lot of shit, but I'm willing to forgive them because they are, in fact, the British comedy goldmine. Also, Film4 produces some amazing British Cinema.

It's not too bad. Sure it has a big load of crap, but has some good stuff sometimes too. No point complaining about it, just watch another channel in the meantime.

I can't fault it too much thanks to Scrubs and The Inbetweeners.

Yeah, some stuff is pretty bad, but if the BBC didnt exist it would be even worse, cause they wouldnt have to compete with an organisation which can pretty much make what they want. Anyway, compared with Channel 5, Channel 4 is pretty good.

EDIT: oh yeah, and all british channels have a franchise, so they basicly have to make some documenteries and educational stuff by law

As I'm about to do, since I also missed tonight's episode. Anyway, Channel 4 has some right crap on now. I'm slowly potentially being converted to Hollyoaks by the fact that I'm usually in the living room when my housemates have it on, and I still like it for stuff like Derren Brown, The Simpsons, and the like. But generally, Channel 4 is crap and E4 is alright (since it has Peep Show, Friends, Scrubs and so on... ).
