Character customization is my cocaine.

It allows me a greater deal of immersion in any game with even minor personality elements.

I would freak if any DM told me that my Chaotic evil drow bard could not find a floppy purple fedora to shield his eyes from the sun.

"Yay"
If I'm cutting people in half with a machine gun I want them to SEE who's doing it to them.

I think the industry would be much better if more games incorporated that photo feature from RSV2.

The combination of not having to pick a class element of FPS with the combo of customization from RPG tickles my fancy. If I have one gripe about RPGS, it's that your stuck with whatever you chose as a class. If mages suck TOO BAD ***** your stuck.

If their is one thing I hate about FPS...S it's the lack of customization. Seriously, if I snipe more, shouldn't I be better at it than shotgunning?

it gives you a personality for you're armor... thats better than looking like some random grunts in the front line.

i dont think in single player it would matter that much because if ur in first person you cant really see what your character looks like anyways but i think in multiplay/ online it's cool because then it lets to create a your own character and give him or her thier own identaty rather than just being anouther face in the crowed.

owe sorry to post a qestion in your post but dose anyone know if bourderlands lets customise your apperance, and or armour?

Sure, it's always a nice thing to have.

Also, to a certain extent, making classes in games like CoD IS character customization.

(The skins change with the weapon, not to mention the killing power)

Certainly yes! I'm a total sucker for character customization. If a game has a vast customization system, I'll definitely get it.

But if you're so narcissistic that you look at yourself in a mirror in a game then you deserve to give me that extra kill
Oh snap.

Only if there are mirrors, shadows, in game cutscenes and reflections from water and such.

im thinking of a FPS that allows you to go completely everywhere
and personalization is everything from weapon design to character stats and physical
abilities.

a pencil and paper RPG without the pencil and paper

The RPG fan in me likes customization. It made Rainbow Six Vegas 2 much more enjoyable, for instance. And I don't think Fallout 3 should count, since the game is technically an RPG and thus customization is basically mandatory.

That's "couldn't care less". If you are going to use complicated and intelligent phrases, use them correctly.

Only during the campaign of the game. But during online play. There should only be a set amount of armor or clothing you should be able to wear. Like in Halo 3.

hmm...

well yeah
thats cool of Fallout 3
everyone ends up in telsa armor with a plasma rifle anyway
No they don't. Talon Merc Armour and a Gauss Rifle, here.

My other character I'm playing at the moment has the Antagonizer's Costume and the Man Opener. Out of nine characters that I have at the moment, only three of them wear Power Armour, none wear the Tesla Suit.
