Poll: Chickenpox?

My goddaughter might have the chickenpox and it makes me so upset. Today is her 1st b-day and I can't go over there and see her. Wanna know why? I have never had the chickenpox myself and it can be a whole lot of trouble the older you get. I can't risk it if it is the chickenpox.

So I have a question... who hasn't had the chickenpox yet. Those who have had the chickenpox, if you have a story or something associated with it, tell it.

My best friend's husband thinks I may be immune to the chickenpox because I have been around my sister and cousins when they had it but I haven't caught it yet. Now is not the time to test it either.

I did when I was young, I remember when the bumps grew to being the size of peas on me, they were so itch than, I ended up going outside to play in my sand box just so I could buried my hands to keep them off those damn itchy bumps.

I got me the chicken herpes when I was in the second grade. There were two chicken pox epidemics at my primary school. The first one missed me entirely. The second one hit me hard. I still remember the itching. It was like wearing asbestos armour. Oh, so itchy.

It sucks. When I found out she might have them, she just looked at me and held out her hand for me to hold her. Almost broke my heart. It is good that she gets it now though so she won't have to miss school or anything because of it.

I had the chickenpox the week of my 8th birthday. Crap time to have it, but at least I didn't have to go to school on my birthday.

I got it really bad when I was 6. My 2 brothers got it then, too. Full body, terrible itching. I'm glad I got it out of the way. Luckily it was during the summer so we could go without shirts to reduce the itching.

Yeah, had it. 13 kids in my class had it to...I wonder how the teacher felt teaching to 3 children. Better, I wonder how the 3 children who didn't have chickenpox feel being the only ones in the room.

Nah it's probably better you don't. I've had them when I was like 5 and it wasn't a pleasant experience. I scratched one of them and it scarred me for life right under the right nipple.
