My favourite colour is green but I don't really like the traditional green lightsabers, I'd want something a bit darker. Black or purple would also be kinda cool.

You could always use a dark green one.

Makashi seems a bit of a "dandy's" style, Shien is overpublicised by Starkiller, Soresu is technical and defensive and boring

Yeah, it's just I've only ever seen the green ones in the movies. I don't know anything about how the lightsabers get their colours and didn't particularly want to be told off by someone who knows more than me.

A black lightsaber would be BADASS! It can be used for stealth in the dark, they'll never know what hit'em.

It'd be red white and blue just like a big ol' bomb pop or maybe a color shifting psychedelic rainbow. That would be great and you know it. Some other people have mentioned color being symbolic story wise. So does purple mean the black guy?

either silver and curved on the end of a pole (scythe light sabre).

or alternatively dark purple, because it's a favourite colour of mine. also curved if possible, but not essential.

curving is only essential on the 1st design i mentioned.

I like the colours blue and green the most, but for some reason I've always wanted a yellow lightsaber. It just seems rare and cool to me I guess.
