Why do shops always have to do stuff at least 3 months in advance?
Xmas signs up 3 months before hand, back to school signs go up just before schools actually finished etc, kinda silly really :s

I pretty much deliberately ignore all xmas-related stuff until the end of November.

I ignore anything to do with Christmas till December.. really... if nearly a month to get ready for it isn't enough, you're doing something wrong.

This year is the first year we've really had Christmas with my stepson around though, I'm kinda dreading the toy promotions in the local shopping centres.

Here in Cali it started about last October so I (hopefully) still have 2 weeks til it starts taking over.
Xmas started 14 months early?
holy shit. why is my brain not processing commands to my fingers correctly today?!?!? Meant LAST year it started in October. This year I haven't really been out shopping or anything apart from stopping by to get some more jewellery for my piercings and some "invisible ones" for job interviews and such and that store had nothing christmas-y out yet so *shrugs*

Where I live (Canada), we pimp out Halloween and then immediately go on Christmas on November 1st. I'd imagine some businesses may start a little earlier, but most wait for the first.

Any x-mas shopping I do needs to be done before November 1st so that I may minimize listening to Christmas music as much as possible. This is my great motivator.
