Expendables one was, to be nice, completely crap. I don't know, I feel weary with this new one. I did hear that Stallone's not doing everything again and they have a new director... So maybe this might be better. I'm still not convinced to watch it, yet.

There is one way and one way only that this could be good - if it's directed by Robert Rodriguez. It's not, Chuck Norris isn't funny, the first movie sucked and so will this.

I'm going to stay optimistic and say that maaaybe, theres a chance, that the first one sucked partly because they didnt know what to do with so many big names in one movie and maybe im gonna hope they learnt enough stuff not to do in the first one to make this one better for the sake of the people dont just jizz over names...
Having Samuel L. Jackson as the villain would have fantastic. I'll just sit back and enjoy the WE ARE MANLY MEN DOING MANLY MEN THINGS!!!! vibe. Probably on DVD with either alcohol or some other thing in hand (massive breasts on attractive women to fit in with the film).
The memes are cute, but the man is a twat. It'll be figuring out how to deliver the over-the-top fun they promised in the first place that saves the Expendables, not the addition of another action star.
Norris might make E2 worth watching (haven't seen the first and don't plan to honestly). I have to disagree with you on Van Damm though, who isn't in that poster at least. Everyone knows that Van Dam always flexes in every movie poster that he's in. That poster up there has no flexing so, that can't possibly be VD.
The audience might not have liked the first movie, but I think the actors really enjoyed making it. They are all friends who want to let off some steam now and then. They did that with Expendables 1 and somehow it also brought them money.
In other words: they were throwing a party for themselves last time and the party gave them loads of money instead of costing them. This time they are building a new party and they invited more friends.
Let them have their fun, there is enough complaining on the escapist already. If you don't like the premise, don't watch the movie and steer some attention that IS worth watching, like the new non-Bayformers Transformers game.
