Most likely not. What they did to CoD4 with MW2 is pretty much unforgivable. I really liked CoD4, and MW2 was (story-wise) just apalling. Does someone want to tell Infinity Ward that the cold war is over? If Black Ops continues in the MW2 vein, I don't reckon I'd pay £5 for it, never mind £40.

Yeah, probably.
Haven't heard much about it yet but as long as it does what MW2 and the other CoDs do, which was keep me entertained while playing it, yeah, I'll drop some money onto it. But not £45.

I don't have that much.

I will not buy it. I've already bought Modern Warfare, World at War and Modern Warfare 2, and I've lost more and more interest in the series with each new game.

I guarentee one of my friends is buying it, so after a month or so of playing it at their house I'll give my final judgement.
Remember, we've all had games surprise us.
I still don't like Activision though.

Most likely not, the are lots of other games i'd much rather buy right now. I might rent it just to see how it is but I don't really have that much interest in it.

You poll doesn't have an option that meets my needs. I will not purchase the game new but there is a slim chance that down the line I will pick up a used copy.

So, punish a completely different developer for a game that wasn't theirs in the first place? Hmm... Tempting but I wouldn't buy it because it won't be nearly as fun as Halo: Reach or that new game Brink that looks a cross between TF2, KZ2 and some gameplay elements of Mirror's Edge. CoD got boring real fast, especially the Treyarch ones. Zombie mode was shit in W@W. It would have been fun if it was similar to L4D, where you go from point A to point B with the occasional objective. Staying in point A just boarding up every window got boring after the third time. At least the atmosphere was good.

Will it have zombies?
They should've had zombies in MW2, I'd still be playing it...

Although I was disappointed with MW2 (to put it simply), I'm more than likely going to buy it on release. I usually have fun when my friends play with me, and to avoid high-pitched, loud-mouthed children bragging or screaming into the mic about how someone's cheating, I mute everyone in the game from the get go. I only hope they don't wash and repeat with Black Ops.

Plus, Treyarch and zombies should be a good duo.

Picking Alan Wake over it. Shooters just get old sometimes. You need a little scare.

I'll get it when its cheap enough, it looks fun and I don't really give a rats ass about Reach, Brink or pretty much any shooter coming out, plus is set in 'Nam, which is different and from looking at the trailer, there are helicopter missions, and helicopters are friggin sweet!

Probably not.

I've spent all my money on Halo: Reach and will be playing non stop when it comes out.

Besides I'm still scarred from MW2. (Yes I'm aware Black Ops is being made by Treyarch)

As one of the only people on this forum who actually likes PC MW2, I'm quietly looking forward to Black Ops. The singleplayer portion in particular sounds very interesting. I'll probably get it off Steam when the price goes down a little.

It depends on the length of the single-player.

It depends on whether the multi-player has maps that aren't clostrophic cluster f**ks.

If the single-player has some actual lengthy story behind it, and isn't just a string of 'oh cool' locales set up like boxes on a check list (like how MW:2 seemed to be to me), and the multi-player is more akin to CoD 1/2 (3 was alright on some maps), then I'll pick it up around this time next year...when it's on sale ^^
