How come the dog only gets 6 points in military training? This clearly shows you're just a Sony-fanboy and so I must defend Microsoft's honour by voting the doggy to win.

Also the doggy has more polygons and rocket science.

CoD Dog has Martyrdom perk.

Nobody wins.
Damnit, I forgot about perks... See everyone? The dog has a real chance now! Speaking of perks, you think he can carry a knife in his mouth? It could go something like this:
The problem with that is just how effective is a single dropped hand grenade against a giant enemy crab? We need HP and defense measurements here, i really think that a few glancing grenades and rockets would leave the crab relatively unscathed.

I think it has to go to the crab in the end, it's raw power and mighty armour would eventually win out againhst the dogs agility, the dog has to get tired at some point and thats when the crab would strike-ebi

Uh, guys, come on. The Crab Wins.

You should all know how Crab Battles [http://youtu.be/8mHKHKR8x6A] turn out. Not even Snake can best one of these buggers.
My first thought as well. If Snake can't handle it, it's bad. Very bad. (Damn cave demons...)
If Snake can't handle it then I'm afraid we're all doomed. Snake could likely even handle Batman for goodness sake.

it all comes down to this:
if the battle were to be put to film, who would be the protagonist and who would direct such a film.
that is all.

I voted for Crab on this one!

I mean, yeah, the Dog has all the pix-... ehm, emotions, but as far as I remember, the only piece of military weaponry a dog can use are anti-tank suicide bombs. So unless Crabs weak spot is somewhere on his legs, the Dog is screwed.

Unless we're in the future and military finally has dog-mounted laser cannons. Then it might be a fair fight, cause giant Japanese monster need to be fought with giant suits of armor or lasers. Most preferably lasers on giant suits of armor. Anyone has laser-fitted giant dog power-armor?
No?
Well Crab it is.

I don't think the dog is allowed Gundam's, because in that case the dog has a hope in hell against a giant crab. Also, even if it blew off a leg with an anti-tank suicide bomb, the dog would be dead, and the crab still has many legs to stand on.

Now if we were to have ants fight the giant crab then I'm afraid the ants win.

I fear I must object to the dog's emotion count.

Whilst it has indeed been confirmed that the dog will be high resolution and thus consist of many, many polygons we don't have an actual final count on them yet. As such it's much to early to determine the dog's emotions.

Especially since it'd still be possible for a re-release of the giant enemy crab on the PS4, which due to it's much larger size would likely result in a far higher polygon count and thus many, many more emotions.

well stephenie meyer has taught me that the reason we will beat the alien invasion that solves all our problem is because we have feels. so the dog wins.

Because the dog appears to stand no change he's practically guaranteed to win.[footnote]there has to be a tvtrope for this[/footnote]

And I agree with the assertion that power of polygons emotion will triumph over all

Yo, this is offensive. Giant enemy crabs are part of Japanese history. They were part of historical battles that actually took place in ancient Japan. Comparing them to made up fantasy creatures like military dogs is really insulting to Japanese history.

Giant Enemy Crab wins since he can attack For Massive Damage.
My reasoning exactly. Also, I don't think the CoD dog would be able to pierce DAT CHITEN!

Another thing I'd like to know is how large both combatants are. Is this Giant Enemy Crab the size of Godzilla, or just a tank? That could proportion how thick the shell is, with larger crab = thicker shell.

Otherwise, I vote for the Crab.

The crab will win by power, sheer size and the lack of a ridiculous presentation.. Put the giant crab against a snow man now that would be an interresting outcome. The snow man has his own eyebrow lead animator for his winning chances.

What Sony needs to show at E3 is a mocap crab. Preferably a crab that was quite large and somehow not on friendly terms.

Well it says in the stats that the dog has emotions, and more polygons is more emotions, according to David Cage, and if that is the case the dog may win because the powering of all of those polygons is dependent on the machine that it is running on, and the xbone may just have more power to work with, so the dog may just stand a chance. Of course, the dog may be at a disadvantage here due to the shittiness of its introductory presentation. This is a very difficult situation...

I'm just wondering how the dog got 1 point in "Is a giant enemy crab."
I'm more interested in how a giant enemy crab got 3 points of military training.
It participated in several military training exercises, instructed by Sgt. Godzilla himself. There was some minor amount of collateral damage involved but it was all to ensure a brighter future...

--------------

We know that the dog is equipped with multiple RPGs, a sniper rifle, and possibly a 50cal mounted machine gun.
However Giant Crab is impervious to all military weapons, including tactical nukes.

Thusly they will have to fight it out in a fist brawl... er wait... tooth vs claw brawl.

All fist fights are governed by the law of Underdogs.
U = Underdog factor (also known as cute factor, adorable factor, or likability factor)
X = Underdog's weight/size
Y = Enemies weight/size
A = Fist Strength of X
B = Fist Strength of Y
C = The unladen velocity of an African sparrow

U(X*A) - (Y*B) = Who am I kidding? The underdog ALWAYS wins!

How was the crab a less catastrophic unveiling?

"Fight in real historic battles, GIANT ENEMY CRAB" was a million times worse than the dog, which was merely silly and laughable.
