Battlefield 3. I don't think I need to justify myself, or mindlessly insult successful franchises. I'm sure both of them with be good games in their own rights.
This. Call of Duty, while an OK game series, is either just wildly frustrating or gets boring very quickly. Frankly, I'm kind of tired of it. Bad Company 2 was awesome, though, and provided Battlefield 3 actually SHOWS ME HOW TO FLY THE DAMN HELICOPTER, I'll love it.GeorgW said:

Battlefield and Modern Warefare are both shooters, but they are different takes of the genre.
Battlefield is all about the vehicles, classes, and really big maps while Moderwarefare is small maps, squad based, individual setups.
I honestly don't think either game can win in this situation. Why, you ask?
This difference in FPS has been going on for quite sometime. This goes back to the Battlefield vs Counter-Strike days and the difference is just continued today.
You can't be a better CoD than CoD unless you are aping them and improving on their formula.
Battlefield isn't doing this, they are just continuing with their own formula, they aren't making a CoD style and and just adding more/improved stuff.
So I really don't get this whole oh CoD people are just stupid Battlefield is a much better game etc, people like the different styles of games. I own all of the games for both, yet I still go back to CoD because I prefer the smaller maps, generally faster gameplay, and I like being able to choose my loadout to be able to modify my play style.
Unless it is something like Rockband, which took the Guitar Hero formula and improved on it, I honestly don't think you can say one wins over another.

I'm looking forward to BF3, but after the horror that was IWnet in MW2 i'm not forking money over to the COD franchise again.
Don't get me wrong, i actually like MW2 but the online matchmaking system, and their lacking effort to fix the pile of shit it is cause kotlick says "it's better" makes my decision for me.

I think I'll wait until we actually see what they're going to be like. We have little info on BF, and none on MW3.
I'm gonna get both of them. This is another Black Ops vs MoH. Everyone took sides and both of them were terrible IMO. I'm gonna save my judgement until I can play them.
