Yes I have played hardcore on CoD4, and unless I'm the host (rarely) there's next to no point playing because I can't get rid of the giant sign above my head saying "FREE 10xp HERE!" On hardcore no matter what I do, or where I go everyone knows exactly where I am. Even with UAV Jammer and a Silenced gun.Fightbulb said:

WaW improved multiplayer balance slightly, but not enough to have me prestige. CoD4 never really gets old, loads still play it and each game is still as fun as the last.
Since you've made me choose, I've decided to go with World at War, even though it is a WW2 shooter it actually seems refreshing to me, especially since the single player takes place in parts of WW2 that are rarely ever done in shooters. Don't get me wrong, they are both great games but I liked World at War a little better. Plus Nazi-Zombies is a great experience!
CoD4 had a better campaign than W@W.
I dont care much for multiplayer of either games but at least W@W has co-op, too bad everyone plays stupid zombie mode instead. In my opinion, Call of Duty: United Offensive had the best multiplayer of the series (though I never played CoD3 online).
Here's hoping that Modern Warfare 2 has co-op.

Modern Warfare so easy of a decision.
The game at least veered of the trail of WW2 games. They they thought it would be good to make another old war game. We have enough of them already. Lets gets some diversity going on here. Modern Warfare was good. I liked the fact it is a good alternative to Halo in a sense at least the timeline is up to date on the game.
Modern Warfare shows a good image of what is going on right now in the world. All the WWII games are like a second history class that no one wants to hear about. All of them are the same. If you have played one WWII game then you know excatly what is going on in all the rest of the games.

I love how people rant about how WaW is just a "Copy" of cod4; or better yet "it's another ww2 game". Boohoo *fake tear*, it's still a fun to play, and in the end thats what matters. Knifeing people is smoother too, plus flame throwers. I'd go with WaW.

You might have some friends who are pissed at the setting change.im going with WaW because i dont play the cod games for the single player its the multiplayer i care about so the setting really makes no difference as long as the levels are designed well. i love both games but i have to say i think WaW is just a little better for the multiplayer. i just wish something could be done about all the little bitches who run around using juggernaut.
