PC is the way to go for FPS games.

360. My PCs not fat enough to run anything decent made in the last 5 years.

Also I actually am beginning to like the analogue controller over mouse and keyboard.

Reason being there learning curve is less steep. On the PC any games like that becomes an exercise in twitch shooting. I'm quite good, but I have neither the time nor inclination to get that good. With a pad everyone is equally disadvantaged. You can never get that accurate. Sure you can twitch kill but it's not easy and free-for-all games are far more enjoyable for it - especially with the weakened power of the sniper.

My computer is quite old, but it does everything I want it to do, and gaming isn't on that list. I love my consoles. And I was never a really big FPS player to begin with. Only a few have been able to really hold my interest and COD4 is one of them, because it is that damn good. My only issue is that the people who are playing online now are the one's who play it every damn night and have been since the game's release and are at level 10 prestige and they are much better than me. I mix up my games, I don't stay on one all the time. I pick up my old (good) ones a lot. So I don't have the skilz. Plus I actually have someone to have sex with (Yeah, I'm bitter about getting my ass handed to me, but I do get to have sex, and if you are at level 10 prestige, you haven't seen a bearded clam in a long time).

I play 360 because I don't own a gaming PC. Also because all my friends have a 360 and play CoD4 on it.

PC. I sucked at the CoD4 campaign on 360, but when I try it on PC I sweep through it in no time.

I'm unfortunately one of those people who is easily swayed by trends and friends (when it comes to gaming) and it seems I've ended up with Call of Duty 4 on both PC and PS3.
This may sound odd, as people tend too sway towards either console or computer, but with CoD, it's worth having it on both; there's a greater challange with PC as you reactions need to be faster and you have to deal with more lag, but on PS3 there's a sense of achievement and it's alot easier to play (not saying it's easy...I get more kills on console).
I was just wondering what system people prefer this game for (console or computer) and why, and any way in which the game could have been made better.

I don't really think that compensating for lag is a point in the comps favour.

I could get it for my comp but im more of a stratagy gamer at heart and the few FPS games i own only one was for PC and i hooked up a ps2 controler to it at the time anyway .

Ive always prefered a controler for games over mouse and key board . Partiularly for fast games .

Oh, something too add; after playing on the PS3 version online for long enough, I discovered that it is incredibly easy compared to PC...so on the one hand, I'm now awesome on PS3, but on the other, I suck at PC again

I play it on the Xbox 360. Love the story mode, but unfortunately, haven't been able to get online with it.

ps3, because I am not obsessed with being "superior" and oddly enough, play for fun, not to get to the next "prestige".
I am rank 55, the best you can get without restarting, why would you? You loose all the cool colours and scopes.

You are sooo right! I was like you, then a week ago i won 6 games in a row with ease and got a little bored so i decided to take the plunge...Id completly forgotten my gun of choice (M14) was unlocked aty like level 40 or something. Now i just get frustrated and its less fun.

Good point! But my weapon of choice is the AK47, so no matter what I do (Prestidge or not) I will always have my gun! Muha!
