all the hype about Bad Company 2 has said that it can compete with the call of duty juggernaut that has had a stranglehold on FPSs. So, which is better and why? I have played both and can say that i am still loyal to call of duty. There is probably biased since i have played it longer, but i like the feel of it better, am more accustomed to it, and just from experience: have more fun. However, Bad Company 2 is a very good game.

Sooooo not a good topic to make. Anyway, I'll just say this. I choose 'obscure game 6'

I heard that it wasn't as exciting as obscure game 5.
OT: No. Versus threads are bad, especially about a topic like this.

Alright... there isn't much discussion value here, you left out the 'I really like both' option, and you're also one of the people making a comparison between two games which aren't really similar enough to compare so broadly in my opinion (not that that stops EA from trying).

However, if I had to choose... Bad Company 2 has fewer dumbasses shouting into headsets and camping. Plus, its story doesn't ever seem to try to be taken seriously.

Well obscure game 6 came first, oddly enough. You have to play it first or you won't understand the plot.

COD4 2 is short as f...

Bad Company 2's first mission didn't let me tear shit up. The intro cimematic sucked took way too long.

I choose, I choose

BOTH

I prefer BC2 for a couple reasons.

I don't want to be one of the many worshippers of CoD.

Respawn system is beast.

And even though I actually preferred BFBC1, I'm still a fan of the series.

This thread isn't locked yet?

On topic. MW2 doesn't compare to BC2, it's more balanced, I have come across no bugs, more fun, can destroy things, it feels more like war ... the list goes on.

I want to know how they can make walls disappear in BC2 but not the smaller MW2.

Versus threads are frowned upon, BC2 vs MW2 are REALLY frowned upon. Reported, enjoy your thread lock.

Hey guys, what's better, apples or oranges? I have tried both and can still say I strongly favor oranges, but I heard that even with all the hype surrounding them apples might be a decent competitor, thoughts?

Before the lock occurs...

I prefer MAG. :p And Halo. And other games that aren't pretentiously "realistic" shooters.

Bad Company 1 was very lighthearted though.

Both! I've got both and they're just too different. I'll vote for CoD6 since it has split screen multiplayer.

Split-screen multiplayer, that's unfortunately offline-only. I will concede the point that at least it's there, but now I want to get on my soap box.

Why the hell do no FPS games these days offer splitscreen online multiplayer anymore? Is it really too much to ask to allow me to play some Team Fortress 2 online with a friend without forcing him to lug over his Xbox or go home? Seriously. If I have friends over, and we want to play an FPS, the only options are Halo or, of all things, take turns on the other games...
