Maybe someone could have just told him that it was that colour?

If someone has never seen orange in their lives and it's impossible for them to see orange, how can they know what orange looks like? They can't. You can'd describe a color to a person who's colorblind to that color. You could say it's like red mixed with yelow, but they won't be able to know what it looks like exactly without seeing it.

I am soooo color blind. Only red green, it's sad that I can't achieve my dream because of it, no flying helicopters for me.

Same for me, mate. Red-Green. I wanted to be a pilot, too. :-(

EDIT: Not really ever been a problem in games, as I've never played a game where you have to read the number that's made up of all the red and green dots...

Yeh I'm colour deficient in Red/Green.

I've never really had a problem with it games wise, the problems crop up more in RL.

I imagine that makes driving (depending on where you live) extremely problematic. Though I guess you could memorize the position of the light instead.

It's not very hard to remember the order of the signal lights from top to bottom so I don't think colorblind people have much trouble driving. Although certain signs are probably very difficult for some people to read since they're all either red, yellow, or green and the text on them is either white or black.

As many people have said, Colour-blindness is where you cant distinguish between certain colours such as Red/green or Yellow/Blue. A very small percent of people just see shades of gray, but that isnt common. This is a simple Colour Blindness test

Everybody should be able to see the first one, It is the control. The others test for the different kinds of colour blindness. If you are colour Blind, you are unable to see the number.

I would really like to know what being colour blind is like, Somehow just switch off the colour for a few. But alas....
