I never could stand an RTS with guns that wasn't Starcraft. Actually, I could never stand an RTS that wasn't made by Blizzard.

I love that game, except I begin to dislike it after I play it for a long time and hate how my men die.

IMO a game like CoH but modern would be the best game ever made, ever, in the timeline.

CoH is a great game. I really enjoyed playing through the single player campaign and playing a bit of of Multiplayer. Word on multiplayer though, be prepared to get your butt handed to you often until you get into the swing of things.

I was kinda hoping Dawn of War 2 would be like this, merging the awesome gameplay of CoH with one of my favourite established settings, but then Relic decided to make a massive dick move and strip the gameplay down, scale down the epic action, slap in a bunch of RPG elements and call it a day. It made me a sad panda...
I'll have to agree in saying that I feel like Dawn of War 2 was a step in the wrong direction. Don't get me wrong, though, DoW2 is still an increadibly fun game. However, I don't feel the multiplayer is as strong as Company of Heroes. (plus, I like building bases!)

It's fantastic! One of my favorite RTS games

Great missions, skirmish mode and MP (lots of maps), easy to grasp the basics, but theres plenty of detail and other more subtle stuff to to get into as well. It has a good variety of units and upgrades and sexy graphics .

Get it. The Opposing Front's expansion too; the Brits are fun, and they've given us more than one accent. Woop!

I play it all the time and have been since it was released way back in 2006.

The multiplayer is fantastic. The emphasis on cover and flanking makes each match play differently from the last. Relic's choice to provide many soft counters to units rather than the standard rock-paper-scissors hard counter system is still a refreshing break from previous RTSs.
