I haven't completed most of the games I own, and I've got too many going at once. I have a really hard time playing one game from start to finish, or playing any game for long stretches at a time.

I play my games for as long as they are fun. As a result, nowadays I don't beat very many of them.
I will also beat a game if I think it is important to have done so. By this I mean that my understanding of video gaming as a culture and historical context will be increased. For instance, that's why I bothered to beat Dead Space 2. Not that the game was bad, but I'd mostly had enough by 2/3 in.
In general I play a decent game for about 10 hours. If it's something I like I'll play it for about 30. If it's still not done by then I have to really like it to keep going (Fallout 3's 80hr playtime, for example). As a result I did not finish FFXIII; after 40 hrs and JUST getting to the part where the game kinda opened up I just stopped.

Yea its been quite some time since I played it but I can imagine that some of the levels would be pretty hard now, since games are so much easier now.drbarno said:Here's a fun thing. I juggle them. I have no problem starting a new game before finishing a previous one. And a lot of games I start never get finished.
I used finish everything to completion[footnote]Except blast corps. Jesus that game was long.[/footnote], but less and less so these days. Though still most of the time, it has to be said. I've a load of games from the steam sales I've yet to get around to, as well as Mass effect and New vegas (being the fault of the ps3 melting more so mind.)
