So after not wearing contacts for about 6 months i decide to put them in (i think it's because i'm going to a thing, with someone i like, in a day or so). Anyways it almost hurts to look at this screen because... well my contacts are killing my eyes so i was wondering escapians (since the nerd stereotype is that all nerds wear glasses) which do you prefer.

I wear Glasses, and Contacts seem fairly vain to me (As in opinion. You have yor Opinion, and I have that other guy's Opinion here in my Dresser)

So I prefer Glasses.

(Upon Re-reading the OP, you call all of us Nerds.)

I can't wear contacts so I go for glasses. Having Eye's worse than your entire family is bad.

Glasses and later Lasik Surgery.

I had some trouble with my eyes when i was younger and I had to wear glasses for about a month or so. I liked wearing them and i hate putting in contacts because I have trouble getting them in and end up hurting myself

Contacts are usually made of a silicon based soft plastic. It's not hard and very breathable. Once you get used to them (2-3 weeks of using them every day), you hardly notice when you have them in. In fact, I feel more aware with them than my glasses, which leads me to the next point:

I don't only wear contacts for vanity's sake. In fact, glasses can be a nice accessory to any outfit and some people even wear glasses with just plain glass in them for the looks. Just for the love of god don't wear glasses without lenses...

Anyways, back to the point, I feel that when I wear contacts, my vision is better than with glasses. Since I have more peripheral vision with contacts in, I notice the surroundings more. However, I can't wear them when I'm on the computer for a long time.

Laser eye surgery. Get it done. I did and it's the best thing i've ever done.
Though you cant get it till you're about 22-23ish as your eyes are still growing.
And dont believe what they tell you. It fucking hurts! And you will not be back to work the next day.

I have glasses, I never tried contacts. I want to try them, it seems easier since my glasses often get hurt easily. My eye doctor also recommended contacts, but my dad wouldnt get them.

I don't have to wear glasses (yet - the genetics aren't in my favour for later life though) but if I did then I wouldn't wear contacts. Glasses look cool, in a way.

Well, I don't wear either, but I can just about guarantee that I would be unable to wear contacts, as I have very sensitive eyes. Luckily, though, I don't need either just yet.

I wear glasses because I don't like sticking things in my eyes. I wore contacts during high school because I did theater, and I liked being able to see on stage. But I wear glasses now, partly for convenience and partly because I like the way I look with glasses. I look weird with contacts, at least in my opinion.

I wear glasses, which makes my job a pain in the ass, since I can't wear them or contacts when I have my SCBA mask on. NFPA doesn't recommend firefighters wear contacts still, so until that changes I will have to be blind when I wear my mask. Oh well. Can't see shit in fires anyways.

Glasses. I lose them all the time, and they can be inconventient if you're playing sport or something, but contacts wear down the conjunctiva and enlarge the blood vessels inside the eyeball, making prospective surgery very risky (that's what happened to my mum...).

I wear contacts and it feels like before I got glasses, but I can see. I never notice my contacts when they are in, and I love it.

Glasses.

From what I've heard, permenant contacts hurt your eyes too much, and disposable ones are too expensive, and you constantly have to buy more. With glasses, it's the best of both world, and they're easier to take off. Plus, they make me look damn good.

I've had a PRK (Laser Eye Surgery). However, before hand, I never wore contacts. I liked glasses.

In other news, I find glasses sexy, so ladies... you know.
