simple question, which is your favorite controller for videogames? what do you like about that controller over the others. (and inversely, what don't you like about the other styles of controllers)

The 360 controller. I'm cool with a mouse and keyboard, but I'm just used to it. Also, triggers AND buttons.

I like the PS3 controller a lot, but I voted for the Wiimote cause it's fun to say and I like the motion control and the regular control combination.

The 360's. It fits nicely in most hands, it's in fact designed with the human hand's atonomy in mind, and the pad's various buttons, triggers and sticks are properly aligned according to which fingers will be used to press them. In my humble and outspoken opinion, this is the antithesis of the PS-(X) controller. It's too small, the buttons doesn't feel natural, the sticks and triggers aren't alligned with the body of the controller, and as such, feels uncomfortable and clumsy to hold.

The PS3 controller. I don't consider the mouse and keyboard a controller because they are multi-purpose interactive tools for my computer and not really dedicated game control devices which is what I think of when I think of "controllers". The wiimote is cool but not really a controller to me since its so different. I really haven't used the X-Box controller enough to be comfortable with it so it feels odd and has an odd arrangement of buttons but with time I might have warmed up to it. That leaves my favorite as the PS3 controller.

For RPG's, mouse and keyboard, joysticks for fighters, and a 360 controller for everything else.

Mouse and keyboard by a longshot. Not only do you get more control, the control you get is more precise.

A Steering Wheel, but I don't have a working one at the moment.

So keyboard/mouse for FPSes and RTSes, and a 360 controller for Racing games and any time I have to drive a vehicle in a video game. (Except for the Source Engine because a 360 controller in that does fuck-all for vehicles)

Mouse and keyboard are beyond everything, you can't beat the mouse's precision and the keyboard's many keys, so I didn't vote for it.
Instead, I choose the Ps3 controller simply because I like how it handles and I think it's way more confortable than the 360 one. And the Wii-mote is a bit too moody for me, plus I don't want to have to shake my hands all the time to play.

The PS3 motion controls worked okayishly in Heavy Rain but I prefer the xbox 360 controller.

I prefer the PS3 controller for most games, especially racing, fighters, and FPSs. However, I like the GameCube controller in terms of comfort.

MOuse and keyboard... because I need to assign myself 5 different buttons for jump. BUt really you can't beat something with over 100 different buttons to press, also accurate mouse is accurate.

PS3 is perfect. Simplicity at it's best. Symmetrical sticks and buttons, not too bulky and just the right weight. The 360 controller always confused me. Why are the sticks in 2 different locations? I'm assuming it was done so they didn't knock off the Sony controller, but in doing so they basically made a better version of the GC one.

The Wii Classic Pro controller!

It's so damn comfy, more games should use that thing!

Mouse and Keyboard for sure, but as far as gamepads go, I love the Xbox 360 controller. I can't believe they want to throw it out the window; that's why I sold my Xbox 360! I am thinking of getting a Xbox 360 controller to use with my computer so that I can actually play games like Psychonauts and Saint's Row 2 that have been terribly ported. But it's expensive.

I don't like the PS3 controller. It feels cheap. The Gamecube controller was another great design, possibly the best ever actually.

Mouse and keyboard, as I can get used to the shortcuts fairly quickly that way. Plus, RTS just... doesn't seem to work well with analog sticks.
