I'm pretty sure and equivalent of a Heroes game was made; it's called "City of Heroes". It's an open world MMO where you design a character and their superpowers.
CoH's backstory leaves something to be desired... and the villains aren't too villainous, overall.

Sure, they could make a HEROES game, but it would most likely suck. My guess is the game would most likely resemble X-Men 3 for the X-Box 360, PS3, etc. With different kinds of gameplay for each character. Flying sections, fighting sections and puzzle/skill sections (Hiro).

i think they could,a free roam game and you could choose your power at the start and try to make your way in ether living a nomal life that is sometimes interupted or fighting for the fun of it.

As an MMORPG it might be too much like City of Heroes/Villains - but with perhaps a twitch engine things would be more fun.

As an RPG it could be pretty cool - but at the end of the day I don't think game engines are advanced enough to let players really attempt to use their powers in unusual ways - it would probably me more like a magic-spell system, which would suck hard. If an imaginative, inventive developer got their hands on it then there is potential there for some really trippy gameplay, but it would take a pretty comprehensive game engine to fully realise the IP's potential.

There's a Facebook app "My Heroes", or something to that extent that actually did it pretty well. If you play, it can hold your interest for an easy month or two, but sadly, the developers were making more money with different applications, so My Heroes has gone without an update.

If the game in question had a similar format, it could probably do well. I wouldn't play, regardless, because games based on movies/books/TVshows always do poorly.

I would rather they didn't since games based off of IP's are usually horendous
True, plus other then having different people how would this be any different from an X-men game. While I do like the series I have always felt that it was a a rehash of X-men with some Back to the Future twist.

Other than that, however, the two are basically the same.

Plus, Champions Online is coming too, which is like CoH with a more complex backstory.

Well of course they could. But would it be good? Probably not. Though in the game maybe we could have some epic battles. Throwing cars at each other with telekinesis and such. Sort of like what I wanted Peter VS Sylar to be like. Oh well.

Yes. They could make a game out of anything. The question is weither or not it would be any good. That's more dependent on who's making it, really.
