Poll: Cursed with Omnipotence?

To be honest I'd use my powers to better man-kind and set up my life to be long and prosperous and then I would use the powers to strip them from my mind and any memory of having them.

I would want FUNTIONAL omnipotence. True omnipotence would be paralyzing, you'd essentially be the most perfect being possible, and thus be changeless. but if you're changeless, you can't act, since since any action requires change.

I'd settle for complete control over matter and energy down to a sub-atomic level, the ability to rapidly learn any concept, a photographic memory, and a vastly expanded intellect to keep me from being driven mad by all that information.

I'd take it, so I could change the world for the better, not give people immortality though because it's good there's a regular turn-over of people, instead I'd just improve living standards, slowly phase out war, reduce diseases to minimal, basically give people the happiest lives possible, all in secret. I'd create myself a daughter-god to live with too... and if I get bored, I can always pass on my powers to her and wish myself out of existance.

I wouldn't want omnipotence, but rather the ability to make incredible things using stuff that already exist. Omnipotence sounds too scary.

but even if omnipotent, i'd slowly try my new boundless powers; change small things first (except for EA. they need a pretty fundamental change for sure ^^)
i wouldn't totally recreate history to my liking, for example...

if i still perceive time as a linear thing. haven't been omnipotent yet.

i guess i'd go with some assassinations first, and see how stuff developed afterwards; i mean, i could still go back in time and get the big bad banhammer to fix stuff, right? ^^

I'm not sure I can answer this thread, as omnipotence would have the side effect of omniscience, or omnipresence all-powerful begats all-knowing and all-encompassing. As reality is now at my whim, thus is also all knowledge. Things are, because I allow them to be so. It's now not that pigs don't fly, it's pigs walk because that is all I allow them to do.

Anyways, if I ever had that power, I wouldn't use it unless necessary, since as someone said a few posts ago, it would take all the fun out of living.

I would take the offer but I know full well that I will lose my humanity for sure. I would probably try a feeble attempt to act as a human again. Heck I would probably get bored easily if I made the universe peaceful and perfect which will only bored me and bring chaos into it.
