I guess the word was that he had "taught" her what to do. So there was suspicions that it had went to the physical level.

The investigation is still going on, though last I heard from the grapevine, it wasnt looking good.

That's a shame. Never good to hear that some poor child was the victim of something like that. He may get some leeway since he's a minor, but it depends on how the prosecutor decides to paint it for the jury. This is assuming that it goes to trial. Not only did it potentially ruin the girl's life, but it ruined his future as well, but he does have the whole juvenile thing going for him, so his record will be sealed once he hits 18. This is all assuming that you're in the US, or somewhere with similar laws. XD

I live in the US. He's getting tried as an adult. The Judge decided since he wanted to do a serious crime, he's going to do some serious time. Plus he was like a month away from being 17 at the time, and most people wanted to see an example made of him. And to my knowledge, he isnt helping his situation by having new evidence come in that he tried to get in contact with her again by way of a sext. And he's 19 now, so there's no leeway. Though I've been out of touch with it, and only had to give a statement once since I sat beside him during the semester they caught him.

Flat out, the kid wasnt a good kid, and I wouldnt be surprised if there was more then one girl.

I know. But when tehy tested for whether the hymen was broken, I guess they found it wasnt there, though they werent sure if that was from something else he may have had her do of if she did it to herself somehow.

I dont know all the details, just that he was charged and it was a lot of gathering evidence and I had to give a statement, to whcih I wasnt alot of help since I didnt know cause I didnt associate or care what he did, so its not like i was reading his texts while he made them.

The first thing that came in my mind when I read the title was a game being touted as a 'text-based sex adventure'.

After laughing for a bit, I have to say that I've done neither, and have no particular desire to. Text alone doesn't do much for me, and I don't know that even if a webcam were involved it would work for me.

It's great for long distance relationships, which is where we got started.

Sometimes, after a game session, we like to do a little bedroom roleplyaing. ^^ It beats the hell out of "can't pay the pizza guy" or whatever.

It started when my spouse e-mailed my character a romantic poem. My character responded. Cybering ensued. Then actual sex ensues. ^^ There was much ensuing and unzipping involved.

My gf is actually pretty big into text-based roleplaying, and we both write poems and short stories, as well as the novels we're both working on, so I find it a little odd that we haven't ever cybered, but I guess it just never really came up. I keep trying to get her into tabletop gaming, but it's going to take some convincing. XD

I find myself confused what is meant here by cyber sexting, what seems a pastiche of sexting and cybersex. Common parlance is sending a photo one one's own naughty bits to a paramour via a telephone's SMS service. I suppose it can be extended to email or chat services as well.

The fact that minors are getting prosecuted for the dissemination of child pornography for sexting their own boyfriends / girlfriends is both indicative of our culture's issues about sexuality and our xenophobia regarding new media. The only good that comes of it is that when enough kids end up on the sexual predator database, it'll make the database meaningless. But I digress.

It sounds like some here are also including talking dirty (via email, chat, text, or whatever), or even on-line sexual roleplay (i.e. cybersex), which is a larger range of activities (and questionably illegal, when done between underaged peers.[footnote]I'd be curious what jurisdictions actually prevent minors from consuming (otherwise legal) literary pornography. Most don't. Though if you live in a particularly conservative community in the US, you can expect they'll find something to pin on you for texting dirty to your girlfriend. Much of the US doesn't take kindly to minors showing any interest in sex at all.[/footnote]). There are vast online communities who engage in cybersex.[footnote]Not to mention a vast industry in Second Life.[/footnote]

Myself, I've dabbled in literary porn, but cybersex doesn't do it for me. I've texted dirty with girlfriends (more texted flirty), but I've never sent or received NSFW pictures by SMS.

Receiving naughty pictures by email is another matter, as Craigslist personals seems to be an endless font of men who want to send pictures of their penises to total strangers, no matter whether there is any interest in same. Being a man seeking a woman at the time, I've received more than one, having never once expressed an interest in someone else's junk.

So that might, in the loose terms of this thread, count.
