For all those of you who play D&D (or DDO), what stat do you pour the most points into? Why do you chose that attribute over the others. Or does it depend on what kind of character you're playing as? I want to hear from you.

For me, it's usually Strength, because 9 times out of ten, I'm a melee user. My wizard, however, pours points into Intelligence.

EDIT: I was mainly refering to Dungeons & Dragons, but feel free to insert your RPG of choice in it's place

You don't have to say it's only Dungeons & Dragons. Practically all RPGs use those stats. For me, it depends on the character and what I aim to do with them, but Constitution is always a must-have.

I tend to put quite a bit into Charisma. As a Cleric, I'm super-duper squishy so if I can talk my way out of a fight then it's one less resurrection/reincarnation roll I have to make.

Wisdom, and when things come down to some crazy magic crap, I ALWAYS end up as the only person NOT knocked out on a will save. Its rather alarming, the frequency with which it happens.

I like to dual-wield and am usually the ranger/appropriate ranged character in any number of games. Though, I do often times run healers in my games.

Mind that not, I still like to be viewed as a sniper.

Depends on what I'm playing. Although I do tend towards the Dex whore a lot.

My first pen-and-paper character ever started out balanced between Strength and Stamina, then became something of a tank...that could light himself on fire. (I was playing Aberrant.)

Strength-focused fighters are boring as hell to play.

Finesse fighters are much more fun, and can be cross classed with rogues for added poke-damage.

Light himself on fire?! That makes him the most awesome character ever!

Being a Paladin I usually go for the Strength/Constitution/Charisma trifecta.

I can kick ass, withstand an ass kicking and help prevent unessercary ass kickings through words.

I usually make my attacking stat my highest, but if that's not dexterity then dex is my second highest. It's generally really useful because I usually only play light armour characters and it's also handy for doing sneaky things.

Charisma for me. When I play Neverwinter Nights I always play a sorcerer (sorcerers use charisma for their magic).

Same, but add "smooth talking" to that.

I like my combat to be smooth, graceful and very insulting to the opponent; catching and countering blows, almost dancing around the opponent, using their own energy against them.

But before that even happens, I try to simply bluff my way out, bamboozle them with my blazing personality. I like dissing people with words even more than dissing them with my hands, so I'll go with Charisma.
