F3 game of the year edition if you like oblivion's style (open world, play how you want).

DA:O if you like Mass Effect's approach (guided story, conversation trees, character relations, 3rd person, combats like online games though).

Personally DA:O if you want to play through a long fantasy story. F3 if you want to play an RPG.

What about Fallout4Dead2: Origins?
If you're going to put jokes in a thread.
Make them funny..
Like asking for a jump button in an RPG? ;-) (joking........... don't hunt me down)
OT - Dragon Age! And while it carves away at my gaming soul a little bit to agree with PP's who said it is more immersive than ME I have to say I think it really does take you on a journey. And I looooooove Mass Effect and can't wait for ME2.
What is a bit of a relief in DA is that there are grey areas and you can pick what would be a real *sshole choice in ME and totally get away with it, it accepts grey choices are necessary.

If you have at least three friends with L4D2, the choice is obvious. The shit that happens with my friends in L4D1/2 is amazing. Otherwise, I'd recommend DA:O very highly. Great, epic, fantasy RPG with a story that feels epic and organic.

I played all 3 and they are drastically different. I all depends on what kind of games you like to play.

Fallout 3. Over a year after I first picked it up, I still come back to it. Between all my Fallout 3 characters (including 4 level 30's), I have more playtime than my World of Warcraft toons (including 2 level 80's).

Hell, I even ended up getting it three times, so I could play it in every room in my house except the toilet and bathroom. They need to bring out a version for the PSP...
You really need to play the old Fallout 2.
Funnily enough, I just went out and got the Fallout collection for a fiver - Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout : Tactics.

I have never found a game that so sorely needs a tutorial. Still, atmospheric as hell :)

I say Dragon Age, it's an incredibly good storyline driven RPG with great combat and tons of replayability. Fallout 3 is a very good pick as well, but just not quite as good, and being older is more likely to be on sale in the near future. Left 4 Dead 2 doesn't work at all, so that's out for now. Valve may end up doing a sale to celebrate the PC version actually existing anyway so just wait for that.

What a hard decision.

I've been playing DA:O so much recently, but I've done almost everything there is to do in Fallout 3, too. I'd say go with Fallout 3. Then get DA:O later -- they're going to have an expansion pack for it in mid March where you can import your character.
