I didn't play it because I don't have a PS3, but if I did, it would be one of the must-have games for me. From everything I hear about it, the game's concept is awesome.

It's a brilliant game.

I always hated the Nexus in Demon's Souls because the hub never really made any of the worlds feel connected.

I love the Metroidvania style that Dark Souls went for, it's by no means an open world, but more of a labyrinth, but the fact that everything was connected made the world feel deeper.

Yeah, I know, but I was referring to both games and I only have a PC.

I loved what I played of it and I'm going to go back to it evetually. But the thing is, I was playing a lot of Dark Souls, then I took Skyrim in the knee.

I am thoroughly enjoying it.

There is nothing I can say about the gameplay that has not already been said, but there is far more to the game than that. The world is absolutely magnificent; dark, hostile and beautiful all at once. The enemies are amazingly designed. The music perfect.

I think (hope...?) I am near the end, and am thoroughly looking forward to creating a new character to try a totally different playthrough.

I'm loving it and my only disappointment with it is that the "I used to play Dark Souls, but then I got my head bitten off by a treasure chest" meme hasn't reached nauseating levels of omnipotence.

Loved every second of it. Still, I liked Demon's Souls better. It had a better story and soundtrack. And it seemed darker and more depressing.

Not much to add that hasn't been said before, but I'd like to second how great the art style and design in the Souls games are. Though it gets a little silly sometimes. I can't be the only person who laughed like crazy when I first saw Kingseeker Frampt.

Dark Souls is like Demon's Souls, but better.

Love it!!!

I've got to try finishing it during the holidays. Skyrim took over my free time for the last month lol...

I stopped playing Dark Souls because of how broke the leveling system was, no matter how hard it got you could always out level every challenge by grinding. When I hit the last boss on my first playthrough he was laughably easy and the brief and terrible ending just made me feel like I just wasted 70 hours.

But before this problem arose I loved the game with its brutal, visceral combat and single-mindedly dark tone that, before I out leveled it, filled me with dread on encountering new enimies and areas.

Nay, the way the checkpoints were implemented ruins the game imo.

I find absolutely no joy going through the same area with the same respawning enemies, it stops being a challenge and starts being pure boredom.

"oh hey Skeleton Warrior #1136189 mind if i kill you for the 100th time?"

Also why do i care about beating the game? Something to do with bells apparently. There's no adequate context to go along with the difficulty.

I haven't finished Dark Souls yet, but I love that game!

It's not as soul (pun not intended) crushingly hard as Demon's Souls, but it's still a brilliant game. It's one of the best gaming experiences I've had in gaming in a long time.

Haven't played it yet, and judging from what I think of Demon's Souls, I probably would not like it. I might pick it up if I see it for cheap in a used games store or at a garage sale (the world fascinates me), but not for anything approaching full price. So... N/A

I haven't finished it yet as I think I rolled a kind of shitty single player character (Cleric) and then despaired at getting all the souls again on another one.

Don't get it if you don't have time to invest into gaming. Otherwise it might get frustrating.

It's a really great game awesome mechanics and graphics. Probably second to Skyrim in my eyes this year.

For some reason I'm better at dark souls, which is funny because another friend of mine rocks it out with only demons souls.

Tried it at a friends house and saw him play it.

Fun game, couldn't for the love of me figure out where I was going or what the story was, but it was fun.

And good looking armors :D
