I highly doubt this will work out for me, but I'm curious to see if anyone on the escapist has had success on the whole interweb dating thing.

WHY do people keep calling it the Interweb? Its the INTERNET you idiots! (no offense) Why do you think Interweb has a red line under it and internet doesn't?

it's a joke, much like calling it the intertubes and the tubes and such. so really they aren't being idiotic, you just don't understand it

I know people who have gotten married with others because of internet dating websites. It's hit and miss like anything else though. Might as well give it a shot, it's not like your going to lose anything by trying them out.

I wouldn't use one but I've heard it works pretty well... I wouldn't knock it necessarily. I heard of some couple who met on WoW.

I wouldn't say The Escapist is the greatest place to pick up the ladies.

But yea I put an ad on Craigslist once for a "Casual Encounter" and all the replies I got were spam and other dating site tricks. So no, no luck.
