Hayter because he's the real fake Snake, unlike Sutherland because of [REDACTED] and Russell because he's the real Snake...

Other than that, the real question here is who's the better Metal Gear, am I right? :p

The question is a simple one for this thread, who is the better snake between the actors who where used for Solid Snake and Naked Snake?

Personally I think it was Heyter for two reasons, first is that he just seems to fit the characters better, which is probably why they kept brining him back over the years when a new game came out. Second is he actually talks. It's a little hard to think Sutherland is the better of the two when he barely says anything at all. I think Heyter may have spoken more on average in the opening mission of the previous "Solid" titles then Sutherland did in the whole game.
Your poll and thread are invalid. The only correct answer is Kurt Russell. :p

Well, Sutherland's voice was almost never around so there's only Hayter. Also, really should have had Hayter in the game especially when the ending comes around.

I don't know why people like David Hayter so much. His line delivery is so melodramatic and over-enunciated - as if he's doing a parody of someone.

It's because he's done the majority of the voice work, people are used to hearing his voice for everything involving Snake, so when it changes, it's not Snake, just some guy trying to be Snake (in this case it's Jack Bauer trying to be Snake).

If they had changed it up as often as James Bond changes actors, this question wouldn't be so one sided.

I can't flat out say one's better than the other. David Hayter was great in all the ones he did, but for MGSV I certainly preferred Keifer's Big Boss (speaking as a lover and veteran of the series). He sounded older, more tired. Especially given all the shit he's been through and going though.

Plus the whole 'I won't scatter your sorrow to the heartless sea' was very well done.

Hayter sounds ridiculous.

Sutherland sounds boring.

...

Fuck it. Imma go with Hayter.
I loved how Hayter perfected the 'ghnn' sound... Effortlessly slipping in a little growl of impatience... Can't teach that ^;_;^

For me that's part of the appeal. Like I said: its a nice blend of playing it straight and hamming it up.
