I think it's more akin to Borderlands than to Left 4 Dead, but it's not a bad thing either. It looks quite interesting and I'd gladly play the game, but I'll wait until reviews to see if it's not as bad as everyone is already expecting, due to the infamous trailer.

I was uber excited when I watched the first trailer and had heard what the developers had been saying, telling me that this game would actually be about survival, struggling to fight even a few zombies and scavenging weapons, with barely any guns on the island.

Then I saw the gameplay video where the character had an electric machete...

...then I thought "Fuck that" and now I'm not buying it. Fuck you misleading trailer and devs,

fuck you.

Sums up my feelings. I wanted a deep story that would get me emotionally attached like an old Romero horror-film. Not another over-the-top zombie-killing simulator.

It will be like Dead Rising, which I didn't like, I was told it was going to be a realistic Zombie survival Horror game with run-out towns and survivors where you have to risk you life and collect supplies and fight zombies with guns and tactfully hide, but no it will be Dead Rising, but no mall (I might still pick it up for some mindless fun, but I won't enjoy it as much as I would have.)

Im getting it but the gameplay looks better then average BUT I hope its gonna be better, Im gonna like getting stuff for the base and driving the car, but they have to fix somethings.

It looks like a cross between Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising. I'm not going to judge it until I play it. It's going to be on my X-Mas list for sure but I wouldn't buy it until the price tag is between $20 and $40. Unless of course the game gets GREAT reviews and a playable demo is released.

I love a good zombie shooter, but i'm going to be wary of this one. Doesn't seem to bring anything new. Except zombies chicks in bikinis +___+ !
Not impressive enough to get hopes up yet. Looks cool but I want proper gameplay footage.

OT this looks amazing to me. I mean, open world? Check. Amazing graphics? Check, Zombies o' plenty? Check. What more could you ask for? Well, i mean they could add in 4 player co-op, an engaging story, and rpg elements...that would make it perfect....oh wait, they did:3

I never said he was a playable character. It was on Machinema's behind the scenes look at the voice acting.

Personally it looks satisfying enough, but I have no interest in buying the game. And besides, I have both Left 4 Deads just sitting in my Steam backlog, waiting to be played.

I've been waiting for this for a while and I think it looks pretty good. I was let down a bit by Dead Rising and ended up just playing it with friends for fun. Hope this ends up as good as it looks.
The C4 Knife thing is awesome but sort of wrecks the survival aspect a bit. It's a great idea for something like Dead Rising but just seems a bit 'over-the-top' for what this is trying to achieve in terms of surviving.

It impressed me enough to think that it will be a nice investment of time and money, though if it is not, atleast I didn't buy something completely crap, that would mean it would have to be worse than the Divinci Code >.>
