So who out there thinks that Capcom droped the ball on dead rising 2's multiplayer. Granted the game looks fun and the multiplayer might be enjoyable but they realy missed the mark. They had the chance to have an open world coop zombie game that would be the closest thing to a romaro move without romaro. Imagine the big open world with you, your friends and all the zombies and zombie killing weapons you could want. How awsome would that be instead we have a bunch of mini games what gives Capcom. So what do you guys think on this note I am not saying the game will be bad Im not going to judge it so soon but I have lost some hope in its potential greatness.

Probably because they wanted to "preserve the story" or something like that...

I wouldn't have minded having 4 or so people running around in the mall in the first Dead Rising, that would have been fun.

Hopefully there's something like that in Dead Rising 2, and they just didn't announce it yet.

And yes, I like to dream big.

Multiplayer would have been a great idea, it's just that the really lame mini-games ruin it. I think that it was just a really stupid idea.

I'm not sure which way to swing. Running around a casino, or small town section of whatever DR2 is with other people would be awesome. Although there would have to be either split-screen or system link. I'm getting tired of not being able to play with my flatmates on certain games because they have to have Gold (None of us want to pay to play online).

But with many games when they make a dedicated, decent multiplayer, the single player experience slackens quite a lot, which was why Halo 3 and onwards sucked. COD4/MW2 are the only exceptions I can think of.

Multiplayer could be fun if they do it right, like being able to have a couple of players run around the whole casino, but no more than 4 players

I won't be playing as my favorite part of the first game was enjoying the atmosphere.

When you introduce a bunch of fratboys making dick-jokes, atmosphere dissapears.

True thought the first could of had a sandbox mode and no infinity mode dosent count.

Multi-player games have a great aspect in most games, however I really dont feel it would fit well with Dead Risings atmosphere. The way they make the game feel is that you are out there all alone saving mindless tater tot brained survivors while trying to mow down wave after wave of zombies while you do it. If they included a more coop type multi-player it would bring down the overall feel of the game, and if their is one thing Capcom knows how to do is make an atmospheric zombie game over and over and over and over again until all the atmosphere is gone and all your left with is a sad empty feeling and horrible camera angles.....but yea, they love their zombie games.
