Yes that's right... 3 Rings of Doom! But now I'm starting to wonder if PS3 is worth it or should I just scam my cousin Jacob for his Xbox 360 Elite (Yeah right) But I wanna here your guys'/girls' thoughts... is the PS3 what's it all hyped up about or should I stay good old 360?

Edit: I would also like to add that the only Xbox I have under RRoD warranty does not have RRoD but a broken disc drive and also that (as my friends put) a poor ass who can't afford a PS3 right now so im stuck with a PS2 with no games, a Gamecube with two Metroid games both that I have beaten two times and two broken Xbox 360s... so probably the cousin option...

I am getting a bit miffed with the amount of "What should I do" threads about dead 360's.

If it's in warranty, send it off!

Your own 360 should be in warranty. According to this...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Ring_of_Death#Three_flashing_red_lights
...the warranty on any console exhibiting Red Ring of Death syndrome should be automatically extended.

Call 'um and get it fixed :D
It's easier and cheaper than getting a PS3 and they seem to be just about equal to me, both have gems and shit so it's personal preference >.>

Do you like the ps3 library and willing to have less online functionality then live get the monolith, if not just buy and arcade unit and switch the hard drives.

You do realize Microsoft will fix your XBox for free. All you have to do is get your own box and pay for shipping, so no need to scam your cousin.

The PS3 is a great system though, but XBox has a slight advantage, minus the red rings.

I'm on my fifth Xbox 360. I haven't bought a PS3 to "replace" it.

/thread.

Seriously, though. Microsoft should sort you for the RRoD. It's not worth spending all that much more on a PS3 for the same games with slightly better graphics, and a less-busy multiplayer option.

Well, if you have enough money for a Ps3, you could always send in your xbox and get a Ps3. It's better than just getting a Ps3, and at least all the games you have fo your xbox won't be useless.

If its under warrenty send it in. However, I'd get a PS3 anyway. My 360 just broke a few days ago. It makes clicky sounds whenever it tries to read a disc. I should also mention this is my third 360. I plan on getting a PS3 tomorrow. But I plan on getting the 360 I have fixed anyway, so I can play Mass Effect 2.
