simple, if you could get deus ex style implants would you?
and if so what ones would you get
rember the rules one for legs
one for arms and so on.

i would
and id get super speed
invisavility
and the ability to see through stuff

EDIT:
to clear up the rules
your allowed one implantation for each part of your body
one for arms
one for head
one for legs
one for torso
as well as extras for things like eyesight and mental capacity.
there pretty much invisable to sight enless there like a bionic arm or something...
theres no "pain or removal of limbs" but you will have to have a lengthy and slightly risky operation.

damn straight I would, in fact I would happily go as far as the Cybrans in supreme commander.

Are we talking Gunther Hermann style mods, or Denton style mods?

If Hermann, I'll pass, unless there's some small scale neural augmentation they can do - memory, perception, internet in my brain, that kind of thing.

If Denton, well... I'm not really sure I'd get anything else, heh. I'm not a secret agent, so I'd likely just take practical/aesthetic choices. Chromatophores so I could colour my skin and hair, discreetly augmented arms and legs so I could run faster and lift heavier things without being tired or looking like a weightlifter. Invisibility? What'd I use that for?

yeah, if it means losing an arm for a bionic arm, I'll pass.

If it means nanoinjections? Invisibility, eye-enhancement (seeing far aware, read a newspaper from across the square, don't really need other spectra, though that'd be cool too), speed enhancement for legs, strength for arms.

So we are allowed to chose one upgrade for legs, arms, and head? and are these cyborg upgrades, for unless I lose an arm, I wouldnt want anything that evasive.

So if we are talking Nano upgrades, idk, too many to choose from, unless you are talking strictly from the game. But I would want Eye inhancements.

No if I was to lose some parts of my body, I would want the built in blades for my arms and enhanced visual augmentation.

Absolutely. I'd probably take enhanced super-speed legs, enhanced strength in the arms, and health regeneration for the head (pretty sure that's a head implant right?).

If you are referring to the strictly cybernetic implants, perhaps. But, given the option, I would opt for nano-machines or, better still, new and improved biological systems. The man with the robot arms is quite clearly augmented. The man with improved biological systems or nano-machines may be able to do the same thing as the first but gains an advantage in that it isn't visually obvious that he has been augmented.

as long as it doesent improve swimming, that's useless.
I never invested in swimming in Deus Ex because I never saw a scenario where it would be terribly useful. Then, there was that one segment of the game where you have to swim a long distance and without some augmentation you certainly wouldn't survive. Fortunately, I did carry around a re-breather and I did have at least an above baseline skill in item use so it wasn't a problem.

Well, I suppose it might be handy to have lenses surgically implanted into my eye sockets to improve my vision and perception in all environments.

And 4-inch razor blades in each finger would help, too.

Arms: Interchanging armaments based on situation.
Legs: Increased performance. I.E., I run VERY fast and jump VERY high.
Torso: Shield Generator, if possible.
Head: Combat Aid. Analyzing combat data and putting into real time. So basically predicting moves.
Extra: Advanced Targeting Eyes. For pinpoint accuracy through any heavy combat or environmental obstructions.

Hmmm....

Arms: Strength
Legs: Super Speed
Torso: Shield Generator or Invisibility
Head: A variation on FOF detection that instead gave me a hormonal readout of my target, sensing fear, attraction, PMS.....

Normal Deus Ex implants or Human Revolution implants?

'Cause if they are the latter I'd pass. I like my squishiness and I don't want to have adverse reactions to killphrases. I'd be paranoid walking down the street.

I have to say maybe because you don't specify between Deus Ex and Human Revolution style implants, like unabomberman says I prefer to stay all squishy and human on the outside and be all augmented and bad ass on the inside.
