Poll: Diablo 3 Expansion Confirmed

Activision announced in their Q3 report an expansion for D3 is underway. Thoughts on what the focus will be? Personally, I'm hoping it involves Covetous Shen and the jewel he's looking for. Not because it sounds more interesting, but because Shen's probably my favorite character in the whole series. I love that unflappable bastard.

People did Baal runs for 10 years waiting for Diablo 3, probably still do. Crazy people who must not have known that other things have since been made. Hardcore RPG enthusiasts are a different breed, an insane breed even. I'm not saying I'm gonna be hitting up Azmodan for the next decade, but I just haven't been excited by any other games lately beyond renting them.

Adria is still on the loose especially when Diablo still have a task for her to do when he was able to enter heaven (last time I recalled which was a while ago).

Regardless what the plot will be and the new features, I ain't going to buy it. My mate didn't kept his part of the deal (I only bought it so I can co op with him) and while I did had fun with it at first but I don't like it anymore.

As I recall when the body of Diablo is falling out of heaven it disintegrates and you see the black soul stone is completely intact. Chances are Adria will be after it.

Doubt it'll sell well? I'll be interested to see. The success of the initial release could be put down to the IP, but if the expansion sells well then there's no more denials.

It just seems like so many people hated the changes that came along with it, and what with the release of Torchlight 2 and Borderlands 2 around the same time scratching loot fest itches, I hear very little talk of Diablo 3 so yeah, no expecting great sales.

I have no real connecting to the previous games (played maybe 10 hours of Diablo 2) and don't have Diablo 3 so either way I'm not too concerned but I'm curious to see how much this will sell.

I think it'll sell well enough, but the people who actually stay to play it will be much less than when LOD sold.

OT: I don't care for it, I have borderlands 2 and i'll get torchlight 2 in a ridiculous steam deal this christmas so i'll have my loot itch scratched for the next few years with those games.

Is the much discussed lack of endgame addressed? I was only ever interested in D3 for single player, I could care less about auction houses and multiplayer balancing. What's it got for me?

They added 100 paragon levels for when u hit 60, really increased the ability to get good loot at all levels, they also added monster power levels which let u increase any of the difficulties to varying levels to get better rewards at the cost of increased difficulty. Lastly they have added various high end events. Like I said they improved not fixed, there is still problems with endgame and such but the game is on the right path. People seem to forget that D3 sold over 6 million copies in its first week. An expansion pack is no surprise at all. I still don't get why people have such an issue with the game. I've enjoyed it quite a bit. While I don't play it much any more, I still duck in every so often when I've got time to kill.
